I hadn't heard of any problems with the a-z,  and I did debit card, not credit card, but I will see what my bank says this afternoon.

the remaining funds to be disbursed to them upon verification of the availability of the goods and viability of the source?
should we not name a price , but say, at a group discount rate, since we have been affected as a group..and are making a lrage purchase?

we have been going over and over this. But it is pretty clear to us, and you, that jpettins@yahoo.com was not a legit vendor, and that this was a scam.
many of us who attempted to purchase zaurus 6000's from him were directed to his sale by Amazon supplied link and 'best price' directions, and he was an amazon vendor. We would prefer, rather than a refund, that amazon find and supply us with the devices we intended to purchase at the best legitimate price at the time amazon directed us to this fraud. the bes t delivered price at that time was $379 per unit. We would like to put our refund against this and supply the difference once amazon has has verified the goods.
this is fair in that we would have bought at this price had amazon not redirected us (and our confidence in amazon very much facilitated the bad deal). The benefit to amazon is that amazon retains our funds in this transaction, rather than refunding us cash at your expense and having us go to e-bay or pricejapan to buy our zauruses. I am putting together a list of those interested in such a large discount group purchase. you should hear from us collectively and singularly. Collectively we make several thousands of dollars of business for amazon, and as members of an international computer users group (the group member purchased 17 of these devices, and nearly 7,000 reads have been listed

send her a mail saying that you are very fond of amazon's a-z guarantee. and would prefer to deal through amazon. After all that is you you and she are aon amazon.com doing a deal,  right???

maybe you should then agree to use a money order (if she refuses to use ammazon) and play her for fun.

In fact.. if you catch yet another scam on amazon it might be more leverage to get them to actually make good on this.

Guys,

After today, I threw in the towel with Amazon.  I wanted to wait just incase it was shipped on the 6th.  I figured from Alexandria VA to Towson MD should take no more than 3 days (less than 100 miles).

I hate to say this but I think we all need to forget about Amazon.  I'm sure the group purchase/reimbursement would be against company policy anyway.  

I just got off the phone with my Credit Card company and they will take it from here.  I will have the credit posted on my account within 48 hours.  Amazon SHOULD do this but WON'T.  If that is how you paid, I would recommend it but, it's your money.  Their legal department is much bigger than mine.

This is a huge black eye to Amazon (at least in my opinion) and could say that they have lost much more than just this transaction.  They have lost credibility, reputation, etc.  I have now more faith in Ebay (and that's not saying much).

It royally sucks, since like others I bought the expansion sleeve and the USB cable and had hoped to be upgrading my trusty 5500 soon.  

Some might say that this was a third party sale and yea, I got the expansion sleeve in 3 days from their inventory but you know what, Amazon's name was on the other transaction.  Amazon got the credit.  Amazon was told over and over there was a problem.  Amazon DID NOTHING.  Maybe a stop payment will get their attention.

I could go on and on about this.

I just called my Credit Card folks. They r gonna credit my account immediately and the balance on my card has been reduced deleting the amazon amount.
That gives me an option of shopping around for 6k instead of waitin on amazon until jan.
