Latest dictionaries for zbedic from SourceForce have extension .dic.dz
How do I convert them to .dic ?

Using "dictunzip".

dictunzip is the part of  http://sf.net/projects/dict. You can also install Debian package "dictzip".

Ok, found it myself.
Rename .dz to .gz and use gunzip.
