Sharing Internet Connection By Wireless

Hello,

I've bought a wireless compact flash for my Z 5600 and I want to connect to internet sharing my wired connection of my centrino that it has wireless. How I can do ?

I'm going to explaim my conguration:
Z has wlan0 interface with ip 172.26.0.4
Centrino has eth0 (wired) interface with ip 172.26.0.2 and eth1 (wireless) with ip 172.26.0.3
Router ADSL 172.26.0.1

Now, I can ping from Z to 172.26.0.2 and 172.26.0.3 but I can't ping to router.

If anyone could explain me how I can connect to internet ?

Easiest way is to get a wireless access point that can interface directly at the same level as your router (IE, on the 172.26.0.* network),. This way you're not relying on your PC being on.

Hmmm, I see you are using the same network (172.26.0) on both the wireless and wired networks. I havn't done this before, but I would assume you've bridge the two interfaces on the PC? I would tend to put a different network address on one than the other and route them instead though I've not dealt much with ad-hoc networks.

What OS are you running on the Centrino?

On Windows XP bridging connections is as easy as going to the Control Panel / Network Connections, right clicking a connection, and clicking "bridge connections".

I have my Zaurus connected via TCP/IP at work to a second adapter disconnected from the main network. I believe all I did was turn Internet sharing on to the main connection, I didn't bridge. The Zaurus IP was kept static but I obtained the DNS server automatically, I *think* that's all I did to get it to work. However, while you can get to the Internet and ping your local network, you won't be able to ping anything on the main network (which would include your router from what I know) with this config. I don't know if that's okay enough for you....
