Most video players will not work for the 3k (yet) as they rely on the ATI w100 video driver of previous Zaurus models.  The 3k uses the on-board graphics controller of the PXA 27x  chips.

I can play mpeg-1/2/4, wmv movie.  I have Kino 2 v0.2 beta (SL-C7x0) with mplayer 0.93-3.31.

I had to uncheck the two "enable overlay" in the kino2 preference.

Some of the movies play very smooth, some of them play slow.

most .wmv movie have no sounds.

Thank you! That worked!

Fullscreen is only seen vertically, but that's ok.

I got Kino2 to work, but the built in, has "????" everywhere and doesn't play the videos. How do you have your menu's at the top set up?

Thank you so much! I was trying to figure out why Kino wasn't working, and that did the trick.

Ok I realy try to get this running but have no luck

I got all the packages from here: http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/kino.html

I also installed that sudo-package but I dont know what to do with it  cuz it only  says:

Quote
On ROMs other than Cacko a sudo package is needed to be able to change CPU frequency during playback!

next thing is I can not find the "enable overlay" options in my Kino Perferences

when I run mplayer from command line i get:

Code: [Select]
MPlayer dev-CVS--3.4.2 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team

- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your

hope someone can give me a tip on how to get this fixed

orange,
I've been experiencing exactly the same problem and I've put it down to mplayer not being compatable with kernel 17g; out of curiosity which kernel are you running?
Take a look at the 'Bug Report Summary' on the mplayer site (Google Translated):

I am also facing the problem of kino2_0.4.2_arm.ipk, bvdd_0.1.0-1_arm.ipk, mplayer-bvdd_1.0.1-1_arm.ipk & sudo_0.1_arm.ipk on C3000.

After installed, I can play avi, wmv file, but cannot FF, cannot use Slider control, cannot fullscreen and sometime will hang my machine.

I was wondering why Z doesn't come with a good multimedia player that can play most of the file types. Don't you think multimedia is a major requirement on handheld device?

Please help if you know how to solve my problem. Thank a lot.
