240v Power Supply
« on: January 06, 2005, 04:27:19 am »
From what I have read the supplied Zaurus SL-C3000 PS only supports 100V and plugging the supplied adapter into 240V socket will fry it?

If so does anyone recommend a good 240V PS for the Zaurus or should I just get a 240V -> 100V step down converter?

personnaly i would recommend using a converter (because the power supply is stil the sharp one and you should not have problems with it)

i own this one

According to Trisoft the original European (100-240 Volts) AC adaptor EA-70S for the SL5500 should work.

As an alternative to a transformer perhaps consider a Samsung Digimax power supply? That way you have a battery extender as well.

Thanks, I think ill probably go the way of a step down converter for peace of mind, I dont want to fry the thing, although i doubt i would with a replacement anyway..
