Who's Using All The Bandwidth?
« on: January 09, 2005, 05:04:54 pm »
Ack, just when I wanted to download a file from the ZUG downloads the ZUG server bandwidth utilisation is maxed out

Seriously, what gives? I've never seen the bandwith usage this high before. I don't see any Slashdot articles linking to the ZUG.

what do you mean by maxed out?  did you see the bandwidth bar past 1.2mb utilization?

the current link the site is running on is supposed to be guaranteed at 1.2mb throughput (not bad)... maybe we were getting hit with a few downloads... or the googlebots going crazy

soon the site (and forums) will be relaunched with it hosted at ibiblio... which will mean all of the bandwidth we could use for free

The bandwidth bar was at 1.2MB and I was only getting 10KB/s on my download. It was like that for nearly an hour.
