Where can we find the unstable feed until then?

Is there an updated mirror?

Laze,
Could you release 1.1.0-rc6-pre1? ;-) Linus seems to like it very much ...  Just kidding ...

I have been trying to compile qpdf2 with oe toolchain but it i s difficult. qpdf2 is one of the ugliest source i've ever seen.. It requires the modification of some .h files from QT to ever compile.

I am not enough skilled in OE yet to build qpdf2 (my favorite pdf viewer). I dont know even if its possible to make those ugly hacks with oe.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Error building kernel
« on: September 23, 2004, 02:17:48 pm »
When I try to compile opie-remote, OE tries to compile the 2.6.8 kernel (and fails).

How can I instruct OE to build a 2.4.18 kernel instead of 2.6.8?

I have just set up the OE environment and it seems it is working. (good job guys).

Do you know which package do I need to compile to have a PDF reader for oz-opie?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Kernel panic with oz 3.5.1 on 760

This didn't work. I reflashed three times more and with the last one it worked ok. Maybe it was a bad CF.

I installed oz 3.5.1 on my 760 and the result after booting is:

Many "Inode .... was a directory with children ..."
...
VFS: Mounted root (jffs2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing init memory: 80K
Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

Any hints?

-Does anyone use Netfront?  I was trying to figure out why both Opera and Netfront are installed.  Maybe we only need one browser (unless there's an orthogonal feature set, like with the media apps).  Just a thought
I have deeply used both Netfront and Opera and I must say that Netfront is by far a better browser for my 760.

- I really like the way it renders web pages using wrap and big fonts, so you NEVER have the horizontal scrollbar.

- I like the fonts too

- and the way it manages bookmarks.

- The offline mode, where you select pages from your bookmarks and download them to view offline.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Whatever happened to the Gentoo Zaurus project
« on: July 05, 2004, 07:46:00 pm »
We (www.opensistemas.com) are happily flooded with many paid work. We cannot put developers on the project yet, but we will happily help anyone to work on the project.

Anyone have some time to put on the project? We can provide the webspace, subversion, etc. The goals of the project is on the web (gfz.opensistemas.com), but they are open to new ideas.

Software / PDF viewer recommendations?
« on: July 05, 2004, 08:17:52 am »
That was the problem!!!!

I made a symlink on /home/zaurus to / to be able to navigate through all the filesystem using the builtin filemanager.

Once I removed that symlink, qpdf2 worked again.

Now I can continue reading 1984 (George Orwell).  ;-)

I cannot use qpdf2 because when it starts, it hangs in "Reading directories, please wait...".

Any hints?
