Zaurus - pdaXrom / R121 & Smc2624w Wireless Cf Card Not Working

Hi all. I can't seem to get my SMC2624W wifi card working on my C860 under r121. pccardctl recognizes it (exactly as the topic description), but the light just comes on (no blinking) & I get neither eth0 nor wlan0.

Sharp ROMs / Remapping Keys For Ce-rh1

Does anyone know how to remap the buttons of the CE-RH1 under Cacko? I'd like the middle button to pause, but it stops the music player (but doesn't close it) & I have to hit spacebar, return or OK to restart it. I assumed that keyhelper would help, but I haven't (yet) figured out how to use it.

Sharp ROMs / System Loses Access To Sd Card Files/dirs

Hey all. On my C860 (boxer) with Cacko 1.23 I have my 1gb sd card formatted ext2. On the card I have pdaxqtrom, a swapfile & some other stuff symlink'd from the flash fs (/root/bin -> /mnt/card/bin, ...). All working ok (most of the time ...).

Problem is that I seem to lose the filesystem on the card once in a while. I haven't yet tracked down exactly when and/or why this happens, but for example, I try run a script that I've saved in /root/bin (which as i mentioned is actually a symlink to /mnt/card/bin) and it fails to find the script. I try to list the contents of /root/bin/ & I get an input-output error. The only way to get the card back seems to be to eject & then reinsert it.

I copied all of my stuff off of the card, ran fdisk & deleted then recreated the partition & then reformatted it with mkfs.ext2, but the problem still happens. Could this be a sign of a card going bad? Wouldn't that have shown up when I ran mkfs? The card works fine most of the time, and had no problems at all when I was running pdaxrom and Openzaurus.

Any ideas?

Hi all. Anybody have a CE-RH1 (Sharp headphone for the older models, like my 860) that they'd want to part with? Maybe you've upgraded to one of the newer C3X's and can't use it anymore so it's just collecting dust on the shelf.

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Usbd0 Under Beta2 (c860)

Hey all. I'm having a frustrating brain freeze. I know I had this working previously, but I can't seem to get my Z to bring up the usbd0 interface (c860, beta2). I've checked here and here, but nothing seems to help.

I know it must be something simple, but I just can't get it. Thanks for any help offered.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Setting Up Volatile Filesystem

In the previous (read 2.4 kernel) OZ releases I was able to add symlinks to be set up under /var to point to a non-volatile filesystem to preserve stuff like the ipkg lists & my cron tab. Now under 3.5.4.1 (specifically GPE) /etc/default/volatiles/00_core doesn't seem to be followed. I've made the following changes (which as I said worked previously):

X/Qt / Pocketworkstation Basics

Hi all. I'm really interested in trying out PocketWorkstation and/or PocketWorkstationXQT on my C860, but can I please get a few questions answered first?

For starters, I am in the right forum (X/QT = PocketWorkstationXQT)? And what's the diff between the above two? Do the above pages have the right info to get me started, or should I go through the main pinned topic first? It seems that if I want a 'true' X desktop I'll have to go the PocketWorkstationXQT way, correct?

And what's pdaxqtrom all about? That seems to be entirely pdaxrom based, right?

And it seems either needs a 'base' install of something else. Do I have to use the official sharp rom, or can I use cacko? Can I use OZ/OPIE? And after I get comfortable with debian, do I ever have to boot back into the other for any reason? Is there any way to install just PocketWorkstation to flash?

Is there an easy way for me to get all of the matchbox icons over to xfce?

Is there a way to get xfce to auto-rotate (or rotate at all for that matter)?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Enlightenment (e17) Status & Help

Hi all. I'm really interested in trying the e-image out on my boxer (C860), but there's a few stumbling blocks, like a working image  .

The 3.5.4 image gets me to a login prompt, I'm able to login, but then it kicks me off after a few minutes. If I leave it at the login prompt for a while, I notice that it keeps on 'resetting', or re-displaying the prompt every few minutes. Never mind I couldn't figure out how to start the x server (there was no startx command).

The 3.5.4.1.rc4 image is just the core, no apps included, so while it's really _nice_ and _inviting_ (at least after you manually create the /home/root directory, that is), it doesn't really do much .

So, if anybody's got some tips to get 3.5.4 working, or even better, know when the full 3.5.4.1.rc4 image might be available, fire away!!!

HI all. I have gkdial setup on my boxer & I can dial in & connect to my isp, but I can't seem to figure out how to setup the dns server. I get assigned an ip & I have the address to the dns server. Where do I stick it so it works? thks

Cxx0 Hardware / Is Nand Backup & Restore Safe?

Hey all. (Hopefully) Simple question. Can I use the documented NAND Flash Backup & NAND Flash Restore to safely backup and restore the currently installed image + root + home + data? My idea is to use this so I can simply swap between OZ/opie, OZ/gpe, OZ/e17, pdaxrom & cacko without having to go through the whole reflash, reinstall personal apps, update & upgrade process to get back to square one.
