Cosmo Communicator - Android / Agenda + Microsoft Exchange
« on: December 11, 2019, 06:04:31 am »
Hi Guys and Gals,

Has anybody got the Agenda application to display the calendar data from a connected Microsoft Exchange account?

It reads my GMail calendar just fine, but does not even give me an option to select the Exchange one.

The AirMail application is no good for me, as it only supports WebDAV (my host only supports EWS/ActiveSync) so I have to use the Google mail application.  But as that syncs contacts and calendar into the main android data I was expecting it to at least read from Exchange.

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Bluetooth headsets
« on: November 27, 2019, 09:00:36 am »
Hi guys,

Found another issue, but might just be my headset.

I have a Bose H8 bluetooth headset, it works just fine however...if I turn on the headset it doesn't automatically connect to the Cosmo.  I have to go into the Bluetooth settings, then previously connected devices and tell it to connect to the H8.

Anybody else experiencing this?  Didn't have this problem with my Galaxy Note 8 and this headset so I don't think it's the H8's.

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Keys getting stuck
« on: November 26, 2019, 08:56:50 am »
Does anybody know a, safe, way to remove the keys on the Cosmo?  My "S" key keeps getting stuck, probably a bad spring not returning to the right position.  I'll be getting in touch with PC about this, but in the meantime was wondering if there is anything I can do myself?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Mobile data
« on: November 26, 2019, 08:34:51 am »
Hi guys, hope one of you can help.

Finally got my Cosmo - feels nice and screen is pretty good too.  Of course I'll happily do a full review, once I can.

However it's failed at the first hurdle.  My network is 3 (Three) - 4G (LTE).  However whilst voice calls are working just fine, I can't get mobile data to turn on.  I turn it on via the settings UI, and it pops right back off

Anybody got any ideas?

Regards

Steve

Gemini PDA - Android / Haptic feedback driving me insane!
« on: June 04, 2018, 06:19:41 pm »
Hi guys,

Does anybody know how to turn off the haptic feedback that the Gemini uses when pressing the back button (on screen) or and of the keys on the physical keyboard?  It's driving me nuts!

On most Android systems this option would be under accessibility, but I can't see any options for disabling it in there.

Many thanks in advance!

Gemini PDA - Linux / Debian TP2 + LTE in the UK
« on: June 04, 2018, 06:13:30 pm »
Hi guys, I got my Gemini a few weeks ago (hard to believe that I've had it that long already!) - and on day two I decided to get it dual booting with Debian.  It took some doing, the official instructions are - to be blunt - garbage, but I got there in the end.  I then followed all the setup instructions and have a mostly working Linux environment - great!

Now, I know that the ofono 'support' is very experimental and full of holes right now - but I have ran into a brick wall and was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction on this specific issue.

At the end of the instructions on the DebianTP instructions page it goes on about ofono/mobile data.

I can't get the LTE/Modem to work at all.  It enables, but it will not find a network.  I think I know what the problem is, I installed the ofono-scripts and ran both the "./scan-for-operators" and "./get-operators" scripts - but it only lists Vodafone, O2 and EE - my network, Three, is not listed at all.

I know the phone application won't work at the moment, but it would be nice to get mobile data working.  Does anybody have any ideas how to add Three to the list of known networks?  Or is this a case of suck it up and wait for further updates kinda issue?

Any help you can offer will be most welcome.  Thank in advance!
