I have checked "save passwords" in the browser settings, but absolutely no passwords are saved. When I enter a site with a saved login, I have to enter the password manually again.

Thus, I use Firefox, which has a Bitwarden plugin, which is actually working.

However, the built-in browser is easier to navigate AND there is more screen real-estate in it.

Thus, I wonder whether:
A) it is possible to get the save passwords to work?
it is possible to add an addon to the built-in browser?

Gemini PDA - Android / Aqua mail at half price in google play
« on: November 21, 2018, 03:29:50 pm »
I use Aqua mail on my Gemini because it can make use most of the screen without the annoying sacrifices of K9 (like making new folders).

Aqua mail can display 10 emails in a main list while simultaneously viewing the folder tree. You can use completely offline. Any folder can be assigned for selective sync. Timed email sending. Rich text formatting.  Preloading of attachments. Customizable interfacte and buttons. Multiple accunts. Reading confirmation. Etc.

Very handy: gives haptic feedback when sending mail is complete (I assigned a double vibration and now I never have unsent mail because of any reason).

Now it is on 50% sale in google play.

Cosmo Communicator - General Discussion / Missing features of Cosmo
« on: November 10, 2018, 04:51:00 am »
Cosmo is an improvement over Gemini, but it has some shortcomings:

- 4000 mAh battery is now the standard in this price range (even the Gemini does not accomplished two full days - Cosmo will have for sure higher energy demand and conversely shorter runtime)

- no pen (Psion users will remember that a narrow pen was able to do the job)

and some minor flaws:

- screen looks stupid with wide bezel (I hope at least the onscreen buttons will not be black like in the Gemini)

- no optical image stabilization

- main screen not an AMOLED display

- is 6% thicker than Gemini (up to 1.60 from 1.51 cm)

Gemini PDA - Hungarian / Magyar billentyűzet kiosztás
« on: November 10, 2018, 03:35:37 am »
A következő levelet állítottam össze, hogy a következő masinában jobb legyen a magyar billentyűzet - egyetértés esetén küldj levelet a "product development team"-nak, hogy ilyen kiosztás legyen a magyar!

==================================

There are three accented characters (É Á Ő) which are used very often, and there are other accented characters (ú, ű) which are use very rarely. However, these two letters keep the most convenient positions while the common Á and É are down away. Unfortunately, this make typing hard as occasionally the arrow keys are hit.

I suggest the following change in the Hungarian keyboard layout:

Following are the features of the suggested Hungarian keyboard layout:
- "É""Á""Ő" together
- "Ú" and "Ó" are over "U" and "O" making them easy to remember
- there is an additional character (";") very often used in Hungarian, but not available on the Gemini currently (just one crucial example: ";" is used in Hungarian Excel instead of ",")
- "Ü" and "Ű" occupy the remaining space
- "Ł" is removed (I do not know why this key is in the Hungarian keyboard - the very first time of using this character in my entire life is at the beginning of this line)

There are some topics mentioning remapping the keyboard, but I have not found any which is really verified. Is there a guide for this somewhere?

Basically I want to change a few keys in Android.

Gemini PDA - Android / How to set file associations?

Where can I set the file associations - e.g. which program to use for PDF ord WORD files?

Hi Guys,

the Geminis is really good, BUT THE EXTERNAL CAMERA IS PATHETIC.

I believe this is the biggest turndown of the Gemini and Pocket should release something better than this.

See below a comparison of two pictures taken using the exact same conditions.
Gemini vs 2013 Samsung Note 3 phone. The pictures are turned by 90 degree to enable better reading, but have not been edited in any other way. There is no need to mark which phone is which, because it is just obvious.

Gemini PDA - Android / There IS a useful AGENDA app for the Gemini
« on: June 30, 2018, 04:43:38 am »
Hi Guys,

I was a long time user of the Psion Agenda and there is a calendar app which is in my experience BETTER than the original Psion agenda.

It is called CalenGoo: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...droid&hl=hu

CalenGoo is full customizable:
- You can basically set anything (color, font size, background color, synchronization, etc.).
- It has drag & drop for tasks and event.
- Tasks can have priorities.
- It can sync with multiple Google calendars, but you can also have your own calendar in the device without Google.

WEEK VIEW:

THE SAME WEEK VIEW BUT WITH CALENDAR SELECTION AND VIEW SELECTION BAR TURNED OFF:

THE SAME WEEK VIEW BUT WITH ICONS AND DIFFERENT TEXT COLOR AND DIFFERENT TIME FORMAT:

MONTH VIEW:

YEAR VIEW:

HOWEVER, CalenGoo does NOT have keyboard shortcuts. The developer is ready to make keyboard shortcuts, but he uses a voting system to decide what to develop.

I have suggested him to add following shortcuts:
M month
D day
W week
L list
Y year
T task
space = today
< previous (week/day)
> next (week/day)
ctrl-T = new task
ctrl-E = new event
cursor keys = move selected day

Please support my initiative and vote for "Add keyboard shortcuts" at:
https://calengoo.de/features/calengooandroid

Thanks:
Balazs

I wonder that there is no topic to select the three most important application for a Gemini. I use:

Email: Aquamail
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...g.kman.AquaMail

Calendar: Calengoo
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...droid&hl=en

File manager: stock
