Zaurus - pdaXrom / Fluxbox: The Ultimate Configuration

How'd you know??

Nother quick question, when I try to start up torsmo is can't load the artwiz-glispbold fonts.  I can't get it to load any fonts.  Any quick tips?  Why don't we use conkey?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=145275\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Hmm, I'm not sure. I *THINK* my fonts are loading OK.  Haven't tried anything else though I did spend a great deal of time tweaking my torsmo yesterday.

And yah I had never heard of Torsmo before, I had always used conky too....

Good Luck,
Frank

congrats

as a suggestion for those who are having trouble looking at the menus you have two options:

1) .fluxbox/init has the settings for antialiasing (search for it in the file).  Edit this from the terminal if you can open one.

2) ssh in and edit the init file from another machine

[edit]

Correction, you have 3 options -

3) keep clicking all over the menus until you get it right

Anybody figure out the font thing?  I get the same thing.

Try switching on anti-aliasing. You'll find it under fluxbox menu - configure. It worked for me and at least one other with the same problem.

Yup, mjotad's solution worked for me.

Here is the link for the font-problems specific thread that I started if you want to continue posting there: [a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21829]Font Problems[/url]

I had the same problem, I switched on anti aliasing under the fluxbox menu-configure-antialias and the rectangles disappeared. Now it looks really sweet!

Hope this helps

Well what I did to fix the artwiz problem was to comment out the the line that dealt with artwiz in the custom .xinitrc that came with the fluxbox config...that didn't help me with any other fonts tho...

Does anyone have any ideas?

I've had this trouble and I think you need some of the font packages. Don't quote me on this but after installing some stuff it fixed itself.

If the problem is only in terminal windows, you could use a different terminal program like mrxvt which uses artwiz fonts and won't have the problem.

Actually my original Fluxbox theme (from the utlimate fluxbox config thread) actually used the artwiz fonts and those came up as all numbers!!  Font mania!!!

Hmmm...I'm having some font problems.

All my letters have a sort of square between them...I heard a while ago it was some unicode thing but how would I fix that?

Thanks,
Frank

Hmmm...I'm having some font problems.  The artwiz fonts in the .xinitrc got commented out because all I could see was was numbers!

While I can see letters now all of them have a sort of square between them...I heard a while ago it was some unicode thing but how would I fix that?

if you have a 7x0 -860 you can try

cat 75 > /proc/driver/w100/fastsysclk
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=143178\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Thanks pgas,  I had seen that fix before but unfortunately I have a 3200 (has that been said before? heh   ) and there is no w100 folder in my /proc/driver

:-/

Thanks,
Frank

Yea... I believe that button (under batterycover) is just like a reset switch on a pc... and the actually on/off switch is almost like a mapped key to run an "apm" script/command... and if there is no juice going through the Z that button is dead... It is normal...

Aahh, gotcha thanks.  I had known that the cramfs message wasn't anything to worry about but the first link you posted explained the FAT error message too. Thanks!!!

Hello all,

It seems whenever I do a halt or init 6 or anything like that to shut down the system it will never start back up when I hit the powerbutton.  I always have to reset it which is a pain. I don't get it and this has happened over multiple pdaxrom installs.  Any clues?

TIA,
Frank

cramfs: wrong magic
FAT: bogus logical sector size 381
VFS: mounted root (jffs2 filesystem) readonly.
Warning: unable to open an initial console.
Freeing init memory: 80k
INIT: version 2.86 booting

I have gotten this FAT error no matter how I seem to format my hard drive, ext, fat, both, over a multitude of pdaxrom installs...

Any Ideas?

Thanks a lot,
Frank

Well,

To answer the questions I am using beta3, and I have recalibrated multiple times. There is also no screen protector on my Zaurus...

Does everyone experience this?  Anything in the Diagnostics menu that can be done maybe?
