Yes, I might add that the panel is only on the first desktop, and yet on the other ones, maximising windows still leaves space for the panel!  Either have the panel on all desktops, or maximise windows properly on desktops where there isn't a panel.

No-one answered when I asked on another thread, but I suspect that these models are not capable of any video acceleration, at least at 640x480.

wow - that's made an enormous difference!  I didn't have a wandering pointer, but I thought that I had damaged the touch-screen by fitting a screen protector, because pointer positioning around the top right hand side was very inaccurate.  Instead, the problem must have coincided with an update of the ROM.  It is now so much better on complicated things like ko/pi.  Thank you!

This must be included in the next release...

Could someone please explain CPU scaling?  I presume it's not the same as overclocking, which you can do already!  Which devices support it?

And is there any graphics acceleration possible on the 7x0/8x0 models or is it only the 1000+ models?

Fortunately not, because there is a "cross compiler" available, which is able to compile for one platform (ARM) on another (x86).  That's the theory anyway!

I think it's a significant step forward that you've managed to get a graphical log-in, Chero - well done.  It's always struck me as odd and rather messy that you had to start X yourself.  I hope this enhancement is included in the ROM.

Well after doing without a stylus for ages now, you've persuaded me to have another go.  The ones I've just ordered look different from the ones I ordered before which didn't have the groove for the catch.  I hope these do or they'll have to go back again!

Cxx0 Hardware / Stylus Won't Stay In Silo

Just being able to get a replacement stylus in the UK for anything less than silly money seems to be impossible.  Some people are advertising what claim to be Zaurus styli, but they don't have the groove near the pointy end so are incompatible.  I don't want one with a pen and a Swiss army knife built in - I just want a stylus!

I suppose you could map the key to a shell script which does a "ps -A|grep <name>" to see if a copy of the application is already running, and start it if not.  Don't know how to bring it to the front though, but having the PID could be useful here!  More rigorous would be for it to get the PID of the app when it starts it up and store it in a file somewhere.
