Does this solve the twitchy mouse issue that xfbdev seems to have (especially when mousedev is loaded)?

Any news on the flickering effect?

the flickering effect has gone out with latest 2.6.24 kernel of yonggun! (with rmmod mousedev)
what is the benefit of using this official Xorg and Tslib ?

once you've angstrom working, why not give a try to debian zaurus ?

Because Angstrom is more or less Debian   (with patches applied to make it more suitable for Zaurus and much better package granularity)
To use Debian armel you need Angstrom kernel, xserver, ts driver, zaurusd, keymap, tweaks already in Angstrom, etc.

Your work on bringing debian to zaurus is much appreciated, but please consider contributing some of your findings to Angstrom.

(Disclaimer: no affiliation at all with OE/Angstrom - also I don't want to start a flame war, just my humble opinion)

you're totally right! and you know i was an angstrom pioneer on my c3000 too! and even when i went to debian, "angstrom" has always been in my signature (in fact until yonggun thew his 2.6.24 kernel one week ago!) !
however i tried latest angstrom some weeks ago and i felt into ipk install problems i never had before when trying angstrom... i first said to myself that i had to continue because there's always an angstrom support with bugs.openembedded but i had so many problems that i resigned and went back to debian armel...

i don't think there should be a fight between debian and angstrom : both are arm eabi
it's true debian has taken some work from angstrom, specially zaurus customization, but everyone in debian forum knows about that. my initial post was just a suggestion about trying debian, not a flame at all

C1000/3x00 Hardware / I Broke The Charging System On My C3000
« on: February 15, 2008, 07:16:15 am »
i had some battery trouble during my last holidays too :
-one time the zaurus didn't want to turn off ! one second after an "apm -s" it was back on again !
after a reboot it was ok...
-one time it didn't want to light up, even after charging the battery for several hours... corrected after a full battery off and reset...
-i had too some quick discharge over a night....

so strange troubles indeed... i wonder if it comes from kernel, or apm bug or from something else........ i've to try if this still happens with the latest 2.6.24-yonggun kernel...

Dont' forget emulator -wipe-data once, if you already have older version in your PC.

By the way, I tried to boot it up on my Zaurus. No happy yet.
Android Zaurus: Android SDK m5_rc14 release

Cheers,

I'm sure you will overcome the problem, you and the other android-on-zaurus people have worked wonders so far. my c3100 is sitting waiting to receive a new OS!!!

i think android on zaurus should more be seen as an alternate os within a working debian for example  at least at now ... however i'm waiting for it too
did someone tried a cf gprs card like audiovox rtm under android ? can it provide gsm functions???

i've just tried my asus wl167g wifi dongle and it is recognized (kernel 2.6.24) !
however it apparently needs the ra2500 driver :
http://home.bb-zone.com/index.php/Ralink_RT2500_Linux_Howto
i'll try to compile it

EDITED: i cannot compile it because i need 2.6.24-yonggun kernel sources ....
