Zaurus - pdaXrom / Zpsx: High Performance Psx Emulator For The Zaurus
« on: August 27, 2007, 10:25:06 pm »
May I ask a question here?

I've installed SDL in the 080407 package, and had FFT run on my C1000(using console command, PDAXROM r121). But the image output is rotated and small on the left of the screen, looks like it's in portrait mode.

While in the X Windows, it looks well, but it's in the window.

And one more thing, no sound is heard. But I think I saw sound option in the menu.

I think it maybe some configuration need to be done for SDL, but what should I do, anybody can teach me? Thanks a lot.

Thanx, but in fact, I already found libstdc++-libc6.2-2 @ /home/QtPalmtop/lib
and tried to make a link @ /home/QtPalmtop/lib and /usr/lib
none of them works
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=109180\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
My notes say that I installed

dosbox_0.6.3-2_arm.ipk

on my C860 and when dosbox did not like the libs that it found, just installed

libstdc6_1.2.2_arm.ipk

and dosbox was copacetic. Tree!Expl shows /home/QtPalmtop/lib/ contains

libstdc++.so.5.0.5   with   libstdc++.so.5

both symblinked to

libstdc++.so.5.0.5

in /mnt/xqt/xqt-mozilla/opt/QtPalmtop/lib/

(Meanie's cramfs set).

libstdc6_1.2.2_arm.ipk installed

/usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.1-2-2.10.0.so    with

/usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.1-2.so.3
/usr/lib/libstdc++-3-libc6.2-2.so.3
/usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3

all symblinked to it.

Check the rundosbox script in

/home/QtPalmtop/bin/

for how the dosbox lib paths are changed.

HTH. If not, shout (G)

I tried this with Cacko 1.23
and it tells me some lib is missing with the name: libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=109028\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

see if you have an alternative version of the library..

find / -name "libstdc*" -print

then hack in a link, e.g.

cd /usr/lib
ln -s libstdc++-libc6.1-3.so.3 libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3

or similar, this usually works if the versions are very close.

I made an updated package http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/stu...0.6.3-2_arm.zip so that dosbox uses its own libSDL without touching the main SDL lib so it can co-exist with the SDL that for example doom and zemufe require.

Sharp ROMs / I Met A Problem In Cacko, Is It A Bug?
« on: December 30, 2005, 02:46:43 am »

This may be the known bug with cacko that turns the screen brightness to nil, thus leaving you with a black screen. It's happened to most cacko users at one time or another, try pressing function 4 to increase brightness.

Sharp ROMs / I Met A Problem In Cacko, Is It A Bug?
« on: December 30, 2005, 01:53:55 am »
today, while i'm going to play my c1000, i open the lid and press the on/off button, as the screen is going to light, i pressed the button again unconsciously, then the screen went off. and i tried press the button several times after that, the screen won't light

and then i tried to reboot with reset key at the back, the system begins to restart, everything looks normal until the "Starting Linux and Qtopia" screen shows. THEN IT WENT OFF AGAIN! and after the black screen, i can hear the "DingDong" sound telling me system is started

i'm sure that my battery power is enough.

i know reflash/reinstall may solve this problem, but i really do not want to do that

anybody could help me? Thanks

C1000/3x00 Hardware / Battery, Charging Problem...please Help
« on: November 12, 2005, 05:15:51 am »
Anyone could help?

Now i used a SHARP CE-BC21 to recharge the battery, with this fully charged battery i can boot my zaurus. But, as I plugged the AC/DC adapter, the zaurus didn't treat it as plugged. The recharge light is still dead and the "battery" program wrote "External Power Disconnected"

C1000/3x00 Hardware / Battery, Charging Problem...please Help
« on: November 11, 2005, 11:50:47 am »
Today, while i'm watch e-books using my zaurus C1k, its screen goes off suddenly.
I think maybe its battery has been ran out, so i plugged the AC adapter in, and pressed the on/off button.
The screen lighted again, but I saw the battery light was dark and the icon of the battery didn't blink to tell me it's charging.
I think maybe something wrong with the OS, so i try to reboot the machine. And it failed to boot (without AC adapter). The screen goes off again.
And from then on, I cannot boot my poor zaurus:(

It seemed the problem is I cannot charge the battery. I can enter Service Mode (D+M Mode), but I don't know what to do. I tried reflash the nand flash, it's finished without a error, but it didn't worked.

If anybody knows how to solve this problem, would you please tell me?

Thanks for watching this post.

P.S. I used Trisoft rom and special kernel v18a.

Dosemu doesn't do CPU emulation, so it won't work. If you're looking for DOS gaming, grab DOSBox, which does do CPU emulation and has a Z port.

Thank you for your info.
i've found dosbox before, but it can only run under pdaXrom. did you ever seen one that can run under sharp original rom?

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Some Problem In Rc10 For C1000
« on: July 24, 2005, 08:13:42 am »
i cannot use overclock function either

and my usb never works

13
I think I found the reason.

I searched the programs I installed most recently, and uninstalled the "qpealarmclock", and zaurus works well now.

Well, the CG-Silicon screen means a full reboot of the Z, not just a Qtopia crash. You're probably looking at a hardware issue. Have you tried hooking up to USB on another computer or port, trying another cable, etc? What happens when you set PC link to its regular setting, not storage mode?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=78915\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Ugh... I've tried on different computers, and different usb cable, but it still shows "CG-Silicon" screen. BTW, while it's rebooting(showing the image), i can operate my SD card from the PC side just as old times, the only difference is there's always a "CG-Silicon" on the zaurus, and the system runs "time setting" program after I pull the usb cable out.

When I set PC link to "USB TCP/IP" mode, everything goes fine, and I can see and operate "\\zaurus" with my browser, but it's too slow.

Maybe it's my fault to pull out my sd card while it's reading/writing? I'm not very sure. :-(

I'm using a Zaurus C1000. I've set the C1k's "PC Link" mode to "Storage->SD Card", and it used to work well.

But today, while I'm plugging the usb cable in, the Zaurus restarts to the "CG Silicon" picture. Just leave a quick prompt like "Can't locate block-major-3".
And I tried several times, there's always the same scene.

Does any one can help me to solve this problem? Thanx.
