I remember that 2.6 was on the list, but then removed. So I am unsure if 3.5.4RC1 for Bonzai should inlude 2.6 or not....

3.5.4-RC for borzoi was with 2.4.20-crapix kernel

We released test images for borzoi with 2.6.14-git3 kernel - more info on openzaurus.org

Anybody have any idea when, after the new release is official, it would flow down to hentges?

FWIW new images based on 3.5.4RC should be out next week for Collie, Akita and (hopefuly) Poodle.

I'm working on Akita ATM and 3.5.4RC looks/works/behaves very very nice.
Great work from the dev team there

There are a few minior issues which need to be worked out but nothing big or complicated. Most of the required work is polishing anyway

Are there any volunteers to beta-test the Poodle image?
If so please reply (or PM me) with your email address so I can notify you when the image is ready.

I will not release untested images and I do not own a Poodle.

Edit: Please note that this image will ship with Kernel 2.4

I'd be willing to test both the OPIE & GPE images when they're ready. uncle[dot]grog[at]gmail[dot]com.

I want to inform, that I build 3.5.4 prefinal images and offer them for testing. But I have more strict rules then CoreDump - you have to sign by writing comment to "OZ 3.5.4 release plans" on OpenZaurus website and I'm sending URL to images.

Currently tests for collie (5000/5500) were provided and I'm building rest of them.

Hi
I have poodle (sl-5600) and I'd be willing to beta test the new release. Just tried the 3.5.3, and had problems with the on/off and the unit wouldn't recover without a hard boot. Read lots of good things about OZ.. so curious to see if this fixes that issue, and perhaps some issues I've seen briefly with package management.

Thanks

Just FYI, the "test" images hrw is providing have release quality. At least for the Opie images. GPE has some minor / cosmetic bugs which are hopefully removed when 3.5.4 comes out.

But even at this point, the quality is way better than of any previous 3.5.x release.

Even the kernel 2.6 stuff has excellent stability / usability and only some (known) minor quirks. Many thanks to RP aka Richard P. for his great work on the 2.6 front.
(Consider all your suspend / resume problems history on Akita / Spitz / Borzoi).

All in all 3.5.4 is going to be the best OZ ever

Note: The above is true for Akita / Borzoi / Spitz and Collie (kernel 2.4), but the other machines should be equally fine.

So if you are asking yourself if you should try these images, go ahead you won't regret it.
