Globally Set Path Variable
« on: January 31, 2005, 10:43:21 pm »
Anyone know how to add new directory path to the environment variable PATH? I couldn't find something like /etc/profile to do this, as I usually do on Redhat/Fedora Core. Even after I created a .bash_profile in /home/zaurus directory and reboot my SL-C3000, the .bash_profile does not take any effect at all. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Should work from either .bash_profile or .bashrc in /home/zaurus.  Remember to have a "export PATH" statement somewhere in the file, or the assignment won't stick.
