I used to use the USB connection as an internet connection on my 5500. This worked perfectly fine with everything. (Of course I switched to OZ a long time ago...)
I just got my C3000 and got the USB networking working just fine. I set up the route and DNS and I can ping yahoo and so on. However, if I try to use NetFront, it says I'm not connected. Once when I set up a fake IRDA connection (fake meaning I didn't actually have anything to connect to) and told it to connect with that it actually pulled the home page just fine, but then the connection failed and it stopped working. I know it can use the network through USB (it's Linux, how could it not?), but NetFront is so "helpful" (like MS Windows is helpful) that I can't make this work.
Anyone know how to:
1) Stop NetFront from "connecting" for me?
2) Set up a UDBd connection in the Network App?
3) Set up a new network type which either a) actually sets up usbd for you or b) is simply a dummy which says it's connected when it's not?
(BTW, about #3 I have tried a bit and every one of the other types I tried needed a card plugged in *except* for Irda. And, as I said, it searched for a device but didn't find one so that also didn't work. If we could possibly just put a dummy Network app plugin in there it would all work.)
