Can someone recommend a good (read compatable) wireless IR keyboard for the collie? I would like to spend less than 50 US if possible.

I've got  the Belkin F8U1500 and have been very happy with it.

I saw it for $40 from Amazon.

Nice keyboard, keys are a little smaller than a laptop keyboard.  But it's not that bad really.  Im glad I have it.

I don't know anything about this subject, do all IRK's use the same standard so just about any one will work? I know I will not see a 'made for Openzaurus ' sticker on the box  so what should I look for?

BTW I mostly want this for playing doom, so it will need to work sideways.

No, but the IRK keyboard driver has support for just about anything you might find.

There are different versions of the driver which have been modified by various folks for the different models, so you have to be careful which one you install.  We are still waiting for Craig to release the "Grand Unified 2.0" version, but he's been busy with other projects lately.

A pocketop keyboard is great, in my experience. I'm not sure about how well the new one works though. A search on eBay will suffice to find one, usually. I got mine for $20 US.

It's more expensive than $50 (so is the Pocketop I think), but I like my Targus Universal keyboard so far. The keys are really nice feeling, the only weird thing is the split space, but you get used to it. The somewhat flimsy stand mechanism is both good and band (good that you have a stand, bad that its flimsy and weird.)

It used to be $50 or so I think, but the prices have dropped quite a bit, actually. Any keyboard would do, though.

Ok, I got a Belkin F8U1500 on ebay for 20 US. Now how do I use this thing? I installed the irk-belkin ipk from the upgrades feed, changed the input from multikey to belkin, and checked the 'on' button. And I get nothing. Anybody know what step I have missed?

Has anyone used the Think Outside IR keyboard with a Zaurus? It can also go by the name of the Palm Universal keyboard.

It turned out to be defective, and I had to send it back. Thread is [a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=10929]here[/url] it's a pretty interesting process, determining that it did not work.
