Hi.

Is there a program that works directly with pim XML?. I can't sync and I have data files on SD. I'm using Ko/PI and sync with Korganizer currently, but I don't know if exist the same program for zaurus native pim. Some sugestions ?

kitchensync sync's Opie PIM to its KDE counterparts (KOrganizer and KAddressBook).

Also, you can use Multisync, which performs the same function for Evolution.

Can Kitchensync open opie pim directly? I can't sync my zaurus and my desktop. I have all data in a sd card and I sync with the SD

Ah, I see your problem now.. . .

No, I don't believe that there are any "native" programs on the desktop side that will read/write those files directly. That said, I recall seeing some opie programs compiled in debian (search for "opie" in packages.debian.org), although I've never gone to the trouble of installing them. If they are there, they might do the trick.

Actually, I've got some stuff that can be used to cobble together something. I'm still working on fixing the main xml library though.

Currently I've got a front end to tkcmemo working on my desktop (you can only edit existing memos, not create new ones or delete). After I'm done playing with my Mac Mini and Zaurus, I'll take to writing a front end (or finishing really) for ShoppingListQt. If you use my ckxml library, you can make your own using python and pyqt. It's dead simple.

Thanks for all the responses.

I get a "solution". I have installer KO/PI and KA/PI. With this software I can import zaurus native data. The native format of ko/pi is ical and Ka/pi vcard (I think) and then I can edit this file with KDE pim aplications.

You might also want to consider VNC. This would allow you do control the Zaurus from your desktop. . . I use the KDE viewer for VNC, and it works quite well. The one for Windows is not a reliable, but I guess that's not a problem for you. . .

Wait, I keep forgetting your problem- no connection between Z and PC.

I think I won't sync with the usb cradle. When I buy a wifi card I will connect with PC. Thanks for your reply acpkendo.

It would be a good idea write all the responses in zaurus documentation project (I will write it when I have free time)

When you DO buy a card, it won't matter how you connect. Just make sure you plug in the correct IP address and screen/port number.
