Cacko Roms
« on: February 28, 2005, 01:11:53 pm »
As all but one app I have installed on Cacko has failed to install unless its come from the Cacko feed Is it worth breaking the Cacko topics out of the "SHARP" ROMS area?

Hmmm, and here I thought I was the only one thinking that

I'm certainly in favour of that -- even though Cacko is Sharp based, it certainly generates enough traffic to merit a specific forum for itself in my opinion.

On the other hand the current Sharp ROMs forum probably would be mostly dead without it, so it is a tricky decision to make.

I'm curious as to the opinion of others on that.

Best regards,
Chris.

True  the more I look at the cacko rom the more it strikes me as a version 3.2 or 4 of a sharp like rom.  Theres alot thats the same but also alot that has been developed or rewriten even if it looks the same.  Its unnerving at times since I keep expecting it to behave like a tkc rom but then somthing happens that I have to think about and ask if the answer is on the cacko feed or I'm making an assumption that somthing is working like

Strange - I find Cacko's compatibility to be pretty good as long as what you're installing is designed for the Sharp rom. What kind of software are you having problems with?

OTOH, Cacko probably does deserve its own forum. I keep being surprised when I see a post in here that *isn't* about Cacko.
