Is this actually a viable solution? Has somebody done this?

What kind of bluetooth module would you buy to do this modification?

I wonder though if there was any Bluetooth integration with the ROM on the 6000W, such as beaming contacts/calendar entries via Bluetooth or even general Obex transfers? Does anyone know?

Surely the 6000W ROM must have at least come with a Bluetooth configuration app. Does anyone know how good it is?

In any case, the last time I looked at the 6000W on PriceJapan it said it was discontinued.

About bluetooth integration on the 6000W: no integration of no kind :-/

I'm using my own custom made apps to download pics from my S65 cellphone, and do other bluetooth thingies. Very little focus is put on apps - blame me too, because my shell scripts are enough for me :-(

If you need something specific (ex: using a headset, cellphone, etc) I can give you some scripts. But sorry I have no address book card beaming ATM.

That would be very nice. I would like to use a headset.

Very cool, could you release a detailed photostory when you do that, please?

I'am also interested in soldering a bluetooth module into my Sl-6000. Do you know the pinout of the pads for the internal module?

Recently I soldered a Mitsumi Bluetooth module into my Sl-6000. This works very well.

A picture is available here [a href=\"http://www.do13.de/openzaurus/pictures/tosa_bluetooth.jpg]http://www.do13.de/openzaurus/pictures/tosa_bluetooth.jpg[/url]

This project isn't finished. The switching of the supply voltage is missing.
If this step is done I will provide some further information.

Cheers
Dirk
