« Reply #225 on: July 28, 2005, 11:38:55 pm »
I just recently downloaded version 2.1.17. I have reported a couple bugs on sourceforge  but i thought i might report them here too. The first on is kinda weird. when i go to change the default colors by going to configure KO/pi and then selecting the colors tab, the cross hair that allows you to select the color you want just follows the mouse pointer around and does not let me set a point. When i click it does not do anything. Even when i go outside of the box it still moves the cross hairs.

Second has to to with the week view. I sort of figured this out already but i will report/ask again. When in month view and i click on the week number to go into week view, the days start at Monday and go down to tuesday. Instead of going across like they used too. I Found an option in the month view tab that selets the week view as Row layout. this fixes the order of the days but i still like it in column layout. I just want column layout with the days going across instead of down. Is there an option to change this or is it a bug??? Thanks

Also, When adding new resource for the calendar it defaults each calendar to name "newcal.ics" no matter what the name is for the calendar. It would be nice if when you add a new calendar it would name the calendar file the same as the name that was input for the resource name.

Mark

I added attachment of the week view i was talking about.

Sorry, but I do not understand your problem completely.

My problems is that when i go to week view the days go from Monday to Sat/Sun progressing downward instead of across. I found the option that allows you to set the week view in colomn mode but that makes it have 3 days across and two down. I much rather have it the old way which was to have two days across and three going down.
for example on the first row it now has monday and thursday then second row tuesday and friday. It should be... Monday and Tuesday on the first row, Tuesday and Wednesday on the second row, etc.

If you switch it to row layout then the day to progress across correctly but then there is three to a row. Maybe in next version could you make it possible to have days go across but be in 3 rows.

Thanks

Ok, thanks. Next question:
What are you talking about?
Z 6000? Portrait mode? Landscape mode?
Windows Version?

I think when you choose "row layout" you have exactly the same behaviour as it was.
If the width > height you get 3 columns, if not you get 2 columns.

If you do not choose "row layout" you get always 2 columns, but only on windows.
Do you want 2 columns always on windows, even with width > height?

The calendars import just fine.

The text is cut-and-pasted below and there's a screenshot too.

Strange.

Can you send to me one of the calendar files such that I can try to find the problem?

Is your e-mail address the lutz@pi-sync... on the site? I have no problem sending you those iCal files, because the only juicy private info you'll have is family birthdays.

Basically he wants the grid to have a column layout (2 broad, 3 high), but the day names to have a row layout.
A lot of people have complained about the week list view, so it might be a good idea to make columns the default layout.

I'm always impressed by the speed of development of this App.  Is it possible to suggest some feature requests?

For Ko/Pi:  When setting exclusions for recurring events would it be possible to select a date range?  Adding single dates is a pain for month long (or longer) breaks.

Also I like the week number in the toolbar.  However as an academic (at University) we have our own week numbering system.  So week one is when the students turn up in October this goes on until week 11 just before Christmas.  The students have a break and then week 12-15 runs before we start with week 1 again!!  Anyway - would it be possible to add another week numbering toolbar entry that is customisable - not just for starting week but for each week number?  Thus, I could set week 31 in the calendar to show week 1, week 32 to show week 2 etc.  For out of semester weeks I would like to show 0 or similar.  This is somthing I would always add to a paper calander so being able to do it on an electronic version would be fantastic.

Thanks for the excellent work!

I've just installed v2.19 and want to report not actually a bug.
Now there's a tiny inconvinience with Ko/Pi.
The focus, once set to an editable textfield, such as the new todo field in quick-todo, will not leave, unless you close the quick-todo. This misbehaviour prevents keyboard shortcuts from functioning. The same is true for the journal-view.
The main problem seems to be, that the focus is set to new todo during start up.
Since i prefer the keybd shortcuts over screen tapping, this is a bit of an annoyance.

Thanks for all the fish

*** PROBLEM REMOVING OLD VERSION !!!!  ***

I'm attempting to upgrade to version 2.1.5 from 2.0.0, but I'm having problems removing the old version.  I am able to remove all modules except korganizer.2.0.0.  When I attempt to remove this one, IPKG gives me the following error: " IPKG says something went wrong. Sorry"  I've rebooted a retried with no luck.  When I go to the command line and type in "ipkg remove korganizer" I get this message"
     ipkg_remove: Removing korganizer...
rm: unable to stat '///opt/QtPalmtop/lib/libmicrokcal.so.2.0': Input/output error

I can't install the upgraded korganizer until this one is removed, at least that's what ipkg is telling me.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

BUMP to get this back on the radar scope!

Anyone able to tell me how to delete the old 'korganizer' without using ipkg?  ipkg won't let me install over the top of the old one, asks for it to be removed first.

I installed the latest stable version 2.2.0. It is very good! Fantastic work, zautrix!

I have a question regarding selecting an image file for the photo of the contact in kaddressbook:
If I added an image with the size of 64x64 pixels, the same size as those icon files in kaddressbook, e.g. ic_*.png, the image was shown in a portrait rectangle in detail view window, such that the image looks like being squeezed horizontally. If an image of the wide-to-height ratio of 3:4, the image will be shown correctly without improper scaling. So I am wondering if kaddressbook assumes that the  wide-to-height ratio of a given image be 3:4? It is interesting to see that if those 64x64 icon files, ic_*.png, are selected mannually as photo, they will be scaled improperly, while they can be shown correctly by kaddressbook according to other fields, e.g. male, female, spouse, children's names. Therefore my question is how to make kaddress display logo image correctly? I suggest kaddressbook provide a dialog box to let user properly scale, crop and rotate the input image file.

Another question: what the difference between Photo and Logo in the Images tab when edit a contact? After I specify an image file for Logo instead of Photo, where can I see the picture?

Thanks a lot!

No need to bump, it's stickied to the top.

Is that file that it complains about there?
