Rc10 Out For Testing..

This is crazy

After a quick install on my C750 the mouse cursor behaves rather nervous. For instance, I wasn't able to select anything from a dropdown list by tapping and holding the stylus on the scrollbar. The effect was that the mouse cursor jumped all around the position pointed.

I reinstalled RC9 and everything is OK again. Am I the only one having this problem?
If so, I will have to retry I guess (maybe I will anyway).
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=80470\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

No, my mouse cursor has been well behaved so far..

However, I'm not able to remap the Short cut keys or the Silkscreen buttons with the Input Setup applet. Anyone else having this problem? Remapping Ctrl & Alt did work.

Cheers,
Jerry

Another issue with rc10:

When I start X, I get the following messages that I can only see after shutting down X again:
Quote
Loading /etc/sysconfig/keyboard/kernel.map

/home/root/.xinitrc: line 6: /proc/power_key_off: No such file or directory
MODEL:SL-6000
/home/root/.xinitrc: line 90: /proc/power_key_off: No such file or directory

waiting for X server to shut down

Do you want to hear about problems/bugs here or should they be posted in bug report on pdaXrom.org? I see no new bugs have been posted there yet...

Can we download it somewhere ?

RC10 is running fine, even xfce4 runs well
(except that shift is a bad replacement for Fn
as right mouseklick, but thats xfce   )

...and i have now a whole free weekend for getting
my serial Bus Bluetooth-Card working...

I installed rc10 on my C860 tonight, just to see what it looked like in it's intended environment.

WOW

I so much wish Sharp would make a Z with the clamshell form factor and the display from the 6K. It's the only thing that spoils my enjoyment of this wonderful work of art of a ROM, in all its landscape-mode glory.

Good job!

surely it can be tweaked for the 6k. a lot of stuf is simple.. like opening windows full screen.. and rotating
couter-clockwise --getting those changes into a releae shouldn't be too hard..or doing them ourselves seems a not-too-bad worst case.  you might also consider using a wm that handles portrait better (?), icewm seems to do a good job on other setups

How do you zoom on a 6k?

I haven't given up on the 6000 and this ROM. I think you're right that adapting it to portrait mode will just be a series of tweaks.  As I said, I just wanted to see it in its "native" environment. Also, my 6K is bouncing between the Sharp ROM (which is the only place I have PW working well), the Guylhem ROM and this guy. It's sort of like my cutting edge development box. The 860 was my standby reliable production box running CACkO 1.22a. But I just couldn't resist giving this ROM an extended tryout. So the 860 is now like my semi-stable QA box. I have no production Zaurus, so it's a good thing all my PIM data is on my Treo. Actually, this is NOT a good thing.

lmao.

I'm new to pdax... but the stuff that "just works" is marvellous on this setup.
I installed firefox, and vlc.  got the urge to see if shoutcast would work....and bingo- I pick vlc to open the file and I getv streaming music. no problem. VERY nice
I also see siag in the feed !  bravo.  it is missing a lib on my 6k though....and 8 hesitate to mix feeds on a rom I don't quite understand.  sugesstions onfeeds..siag..vnc?
