I attempted to install VLC for zaurus from the VideoLan Homepage [...] I am using the stock 2.39 version of ROM[div align=\"right\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
Personally, I never got that one up and running on a version 2 ROM, mainly since the stock VLC uses an ioctl() (SNDCTL_DSP_GETOSPACE) in its OSS audio output module that is not supported by the sound driver included with the 2.4.6 kernel used in version 2 ROMs.
So even if you do get it to install, this VLC will most likely just quit on you with a
cannot get fragment size message if you ever want it to play sound. Apart from that, it's
really old (AFAIK the VLC developers are preparing to release 0.8.2 anytime soon now), so it will lack a fair amount of features supported in the later releases.
That said, you may want to have a look at [a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8142]this thread[/url] which may or may not help you achieve what you are trying to do.
Of course, using the forum search function with the term 'vlc' might have found that for you (hint, hint)
Best regards,
Chris.
