Hi all
Cresho
I have downloaded the openoffice cramfs before the release of the xqt-gtk-jumbo.cramfs 0.7.3, it is not dammaged, and i think it is the same so may be you have to download it again , or download it from soundwave106 and then chek md5sum
for me it works

Cheers

Hi all

Bam
1- the xqt-gtk-jumbo cramfs you uploaded is the old version :0.7.2 it is not the 0.7.3
I have installed it and tested it

2- but the xqt-install.sh is the new one: it mounts to /mnt instead of home directory

so waiting the 0.7.3 version

Cheers

rxvt aliased to xterm comes with the xqt-gtk jumbo pack so you should have a terminal.

just type
Code: [Select]
xlauncher xterm from the console,

and from within the xterm, type
Code: [Select]
sudo ethereal or just su and then launch ethereal

i'll fix it so you can launch it straight from the icon in the next update of the xqt-apps cramfs.

in the meantime, i am trying to decide what else to add to the xqt-apps cramfs.
maybe some of datajerk's compiled apps if he doesn't mind.

x48 looks good, and xqt-bochs can be bundled preconfigured with FreeDOS. win98 loads much quicker on xqt-bochs as well, but that I cannot bundle for obvious reasons.

uploading latest from Meanie, will be about 10 minutes or so. I will have a cron job automatically move the files from the upload area to the feed(its not really but you get the idea) from now on that way if I am gone its business as usual

Thanks Meanie

The Z by default only has 2 loop devices. The script in my automounter package creates additional loop devices which allows you to have up to 7 loop devices.

I have created a xqtmega.cramfs bundle which contains all four cramfs images in one big cramfs image (98MB). However, I am having problems uploading it due to bandwidth restrictions on my site

There is a also a xqt-cleanup script which takes a brute force approach to cleaning up left over xqt files. If the xqt-install.sh doesnt work because of previous xqt components being installed, try the xqt-cleanup first before reflashing. it may save you some time

As for auto mounting and unmounting the cramfs files from SD or CF on insert and remove, you can modify /etc/sdcontrol or /etc/pcmcia/ide and add the appropriate mount and unmount commands to the appropriate eject and insert section

eg:

Code: [Select]
insert

 Â   sdctrl insert $SOCKET
 Â   if [ -f /mnt/card/xtq/xqt-gtk-jumbo.cramfs ]; then
 Â       mount -o loop /mnt/card/xqt/xqt-gtk-jumbo.cramfs /home/xqt-gtk-jumbo
 Â   fi
;;

eject)
 Â   if [ `mount|grep loop|grep xqt-gtk-jumbo` != "" ]; then
 Â       umount /home/xqt-gtk-jumbo
 Â   fi
 Â  ....

The above is just a simple illustration. of course you need to mount each of the cramfs images you have and unmount them as well. I might write a script that you can call from within sdcontrol to simplify things...

Have a look at http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/jumbo/xqtjumbo.html for more info about XQT jumbo
