Am so excited about trying this, but am having probs downloading the files, I seem to get about about 10/15mb of the larger files and then it falls over :-( And as I'm on a company lan, I can't install any download managers. It might be my connection, but usually it's pretty good.

Yep. I uploaded the additional files this morning.

I see that some people are having some transfer issues. I'm not sure if it's related to the site or something else. FWIW, I just downloaded the 13Mb doc file no problem (< 5 min) from here at work.

Owner of a very happy Zaurus SL-C3000 since the day he was fed with pdaXrom 1.1.0beta1! Just made him even more happy by feeding him with pdaXii13 build 5.4.7.

Jumbo XQ/T package was installed no problems on my C3000 running Cacko3kb1.

It takes about 45 min. The pocket workstation I was not so lucky at. I got some kind of error messages like no such file. Continued to install then finished.

When I click on the Debian Icon. It opens X and appears like it is going to run but then just closes and nothing happens. Nothing happens if I run from terminal window either.

Anyone else having this problem? How to solve. I tried to reinstall again but it ran through the setup super fast and said finished. But still no cigar.

Thanks for your help.

First, let me say thanks to Meanie for all his hard work in getting this packaged; the X/QT package installed without a hitch on my c1000.

The debian jumbo package installed without an error with the script Meanie wrote.

There seems to be a problem launching debian though.  The PocketWorkstation icon in the X/QT tab, when clicked, launches X/QT with blackbox, but debian and ICEWM doesn't appear.  The same happens when xlauncher debian is input from the terminal.
It became clear to me that debian wasn't running when I tried to start IceWM and it complained about a library.

I'll try the installation with another pocketworkstation package to see if the problem is solved.

I found the problem. The debian install script forgets to update xlauncher script if not installing to default location which is /hdd3/debroot
The next updated install script (v0.3.5) should fix that.
In the meantime, you can edit /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/xlauncher and change the variables under the default settings section.
You probably want to change DEBIMG. Don't worry about the openoffice stuff, that is being handled automatically already

try removing /hdd3/pocketworkstation and rerun the install script.
umount /hdd3/debroot
rm /etc/debroot
rm /hdd3/pocketworkstation

paste a transcript of the installation if it fails again.
