Symbol Wireless Compact Flash Card
« on: June 10, 2005, 11:24:57 pm »
Hey guys..

I'm thinking about purchasing the Symbol Wireless Compact Flash 802.11b Card. I read in the descriptions that it support PDAs with Compact Flash Type I/II extended card slots.  Does that mean this Symbol card will fit into my Zaurus SL-5500 (supports only Type I CF slot) ?

Many thanks.

it will, but you have to be aware of which version of their wifi card it is.  I believe the newer ones are still not supported by the Z.  The older ones (more rounded edges) are supported stock on at least the cacko roms.
I'm now an iphone user and use my zaurii as serial terminals, perl and shell scripting and when I need 640x480 screens

Type 2 cards fit into the 5500, and of course if they fit they will work as the only difference is the thickness of the card.
