Can anyone provide a link or links to a list of free or commercial ebooks that opie-reader will work with?

If your tastes run to sci-fi or fantasy, try Baen for your zaurus friendly commercial books. They are a good net citizen in that they don't use DRM. I've heard this is why their books don't pop up too much in places like usenet. (My old peanutpress DRM ebooks I had for my Palm didn't survive the transition to the Zaurus -- i.e., they don't work).
Plus with Baen, you can download as rtf, html (not single file), mobibook, and some others. Mobibook works great in opie-reader. You can also convert yourself the rtf to a single html file or text. The html files can also be converted to plucker with the right utility.
I've purchased and read some great books from Baen.
