PLEASE HELP URGENT, I am stuck in the Service Menus ( D+M )
« on: January 31, 2004, 10:15:46 am »
I just received my new SL-C860 from Dynamism, and before doing any changes, I decided to make a Backup of the current ROM, so I went into the Service Menu ( D+M ) in order to make a Full Flash Backup, using one of the options in the service ( Page 3, Option 1 ), the Backup did ok.

Nonetheless I am not able to exit from the Service Menu, I have tried :

- Using the RESET option in the EXTRA MENU, inside the Service Menus, but I only get a white screen with no reboot at all.

- Then I left the unit without battery for 5\", and then for 10 Hours ( overnight ), but nothing happens, when I just plug the battery back again, the MAIL LED start flashing GREEN, and no response to ANY key combination, It only works to press again D+M and get back into the Service Menus.

I have tried also many other key combinations C+B, D+B, OK+ON, moving the battery switch to any side, but none of them works, there is no response at all from the machine.

The only Key combination that works is D+M to enter into the Service Menus again.

I think there should be a Key Combination or a Key Sequence in order to EXIT from the Services Menus, or to do some kind of RESET to allow me to exit from the Service Menus.

I hope you have a 256MB Compact Flash card! Search for all recent posts by myself and you\'ll find one to do with bricking my C760, you\'ll find instructions on how to rescue. Failing that I\'ll explain more tomorrow as I\'m about to go to bed
