looking for some software, or script, that will allow me to pick a color and give me the rgb value in hex, any ideas?

i dont understand why the hex but cloverpaint lets you use a dropper to pick the color. Lets say you see something in the desktop pc

copy image to zaurus and open it in cloverpaint 1.05. you then click with dropper and you have the color you want.

there is another program that lets you use hex decimal.

I know this is a very old post, but this is the webpage I used to get the hex values for my application backgrounds.

You need to have javascript enabled for this to work.

EDIT: I tried saving the page to use offline, but it doesn't work offline.
I also looked for media types in Firefox, to see if I could copy the caculator, but it's not available to be copied or downloaded.
The online page works good though.
Doubleclick a given color in the list, and the surrounding box turns to that color and gives RGB & HEX values.
Moving the sliders also changes the colors and values.

I think it would be nice to have a standalone RGB/HEX calculator that runs on Sharp/Cacko

ohh good!! now i can launch this in my pda without going into the net and choosing color....

saved the html and also the rgbhexcalc directory and embed this into my opera start page which i have my medical, linux bible, etc. awsome! you guys try the java games yet?

I tried saving it on my windows desktop and the calculator is missing on the saved htm page.

I'll have to try it on my Zaurus, it won't work in windows.
I just had to reboot windows cause something to do with java made my firefox profile become unusable.

it doesn't work in Netfront on my Zaurus either, but all the text is there, just the calculator is missing.
Doesn't work in Picsel browser either, but I don't think Picsel has javascript, because the radar maps at intellicast won't zoom in Picsel

When I tried it on my windows desktop, I right clicked the missing calculator and a java console popped up, and there were a lot of things/files missing. This is when my firefox acted up and I rebooted my windows PC
