Wireless Connecting
« on: September 27, 2005, 07:01:31 pm »
SL5500
I have a Ambicom WL1100C-CF wireless and I set up the wireless connection.
My 2Wire router requires a ten digit WEP code before it can connect.
I use the same code and configuration for my laptop to connect DHCP
to the 2wire router with no problems.
Anyone got any ideals as to what i have not done.

I'm assuming you have turned off WEP and tried it without encryption?

Does it connect?

2Wire.....is that DSL?

I disabled WEP and it will not connect.
2WIRE router is connected to SBC DSL
My Laptop also needs the WEP encryption code to connect to 2WIRE router.
Zaurus SL5500, setting up wireless cf card .
The WEP code 5983264610 a 10 digit number to access my wireless router
Zaurus won't accept the 10 digit code unless it's in a hex format, how do I enter and where do I enter
to get zaurus to accept it.

The sharp ROM 2.37?

If so, update to the newer ROM version either 3.1 or 3.13

Also, you can use the cacko kernel which gives a % of battery left
