Wpa Support : Success Or Failure ?
« on: November 01, 2005, 04:53:57 pm »
Hi,

I am running Cacko 1.23 (thanks maslovsky, you're the Man!) with a Buffalo WLI12-CF-S11 Wi-Fi card. Since my Wi-Fi AP can run WPA, I would like to drop WEP and switch to WPA since all my other computers (PCs and Mac) are WPA compliant, but I need my SL-C1000 to support WPA...

I read a lot here about hostap drivers (supported by Cacko 1.23), Prism II cards (Buffalo ok) and Wi-Fi card firmware upgrade, but I never read here any feedback of anybody that succeeded with WPA use.

So, am I wrong? Does anybody succeeded in running WPA into the Z?
(before ruining my wi-fi card with firmware upgrade, I'd prefer to know it's working...)

Thanks in advance for your feedback, either positive or negative...

Regards,

Hrw
