screen-rotation and screen-off on folding are working fine with default WM but not with icewm I istalled on my c860.

could You please tell me, which scripts/configs are involved in this process and how to turn back the default behaiviour.

add a line like:
Code: [Select]
key "XF86RotateWindows" chkhinge
in  /home/root/.icewm/keys

if you don't have the file "keys" there, you can copy /usr/share/icewm/keys
in /home/root/.icewm, and modify it as you like.

I just installed beta1 on my C1000. I was previously running RC12. With beta1, my D-Link wireless card no longer works, whereas it worked fine with RC12 (both dhcp/no essid and static ip/specific essid worked with RC12, neither works with beta1).

When you boot beta1 and login as root and attempt to type

ping ww.xx.yy.zz

when you type the periods, they are not echoed.

If the D-Link card is in the slot, startx will hang (it becomes unwedged if you remove the D-Link card).

Is anyone else successfully using a D-LInk card with beta1?

/Don Allen

PS I've contributed $50 to the project.

is there a simple way to start kde... something like "startkde" (which doen't start x) and not like "startkde --replace" (which leaves a lot o stuff running in the backgrounfd from the previous wm --- in ice the panel and rox are both going, for example)

IS there anything new since the thread on kde 3.4?

I link startkde to .xinitrc and run startx.
It can be necesary to do a "ldconfig" before and also stablish the swapon  as kde uses more ram.
Anyway, my feeling is that kde is a little bit "too much" for my 6000 althought for some uses it is o.k.

Hi,

I want to setup a bluetooth-PAN: is there any tool like the  "Bluetooth PAN Applet" for pdaXrom?
or how can I run qt-apps (like  "Bluetooth PAN Applet") under x?

Thanks for help

I seem to have experience the same issue as the previous RC.
When plugged in to AC, after waking my Z (860 in this case) from auto suspend, the screen (or the device?) will go off very quickly if I don't tap the screen or press other keys.  Once I was tapping the screen a few times quickly upon turning it on and the device freezes.
Any hint?

Sorry for my own confusion.  This should be an issue of KDE 3.5, as it is okay in  matchbox.

I just reverted my machine to RC12 and the D-Link card is working fine again. I note that you are running RC12, so I'm not surprised why you asked the question -- you and I have the same D-Link card. My advice is to stick with RC12; your wireless card will not work with beta1. Too bad, because beta1 definitely felt more responsive. Looking forward to beta2 ....

If anyone wants to post a brief idiot guide for how they got bluetooth to connect to a phone it would be greatly appreciated.  I'll bet I'm missing something obvious.

What's the best way of getting Kapi working in this release?  There are various threads about it.  I got it going in the previous one, but I don't remember how!

See this thread [a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16359&hl=kdepim]https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...16359&hl=kdepim[/url]

Just install the kdepim_2.2.7_armv5tel.ipk from that thread and it will work fine. Works for me.
