C1000 Sync With Cellphone?

I have a used C1000 coming from diceone and am wondering if anyone has
successfully gotten a IR or USB connection to work between their cellphone
and a C1000? (May also apply if working with the C3000/C3100)

I am looking at buying a Nokia 6235i but would consider other recommendations for
cellphones with cameras if they sync with the C1000/3000/3001, work with Alltel,
and are not hyper-expensive.

if you got one from diceone, I'm assuming it includes the socket BT card.  You should be able to connect to a BT phone and transfer files or use as a modem.  Syncing PIMs is a different story and I can't help you there.

BTW you have to be careful on the BT stuff because not all phones have full BT capability.  Many US phone companies disable those features leaving only the ability to talk to a bluetooth headset.

Hmmm.  The BT-equipped phones are more costly.  I was hoping to make this work with IR and if necessary a USB cable.  Will see if there is a BT-equipped phone with a camera that is affordable.

i haven't try direct phone<>zaurus synch but a phone<>outlook<>pi-sync works perfectly

Bought a Nokia 6255i today.  It has USB, IR, and full Bluetooth connectivity.

C1000 should arrive some time between tomorrow and Tuesday (depending
on the efficiency of the post-holiday postal service).

The phone did connect fine with a workers Blackberry at the Alltel office.
