which vpn client should I use with my 5600?/vnc help
« on: February 16, 2004, 07:00:35 pm »
Currently, I am trying to get vpnc to work on my zaurus 5600.  However, this is proving to be a bit difficult.

Has anyone gotten vpnc to work on a 5600?  If not, does anytone have an alternative vpn client?

I desperately want to have a functioning vpn client on my 5600!

Thank you!

Let me clarify.  Is the vpnc program the only client which works for both 5600 and cisco hardware?

thanks

Hi. I\'ve been trying to get my C760 (Cacko ROM 1.21) to VPN into our corporate network using the VPN client that comes with the ROM, and I\'m having no luck. We have a Cisco 3000 as a VPN concentrator, and I can\'t figure out how to get the VPN client to send my id and password to the concentrator for authentication. I think the 3000 expects 3DES and MD5(which is some kind of Hash thing, whatever that is--being a child of the 60\'s it has a whole other meaning to me  ), but there are some other settings about which I am even more clueless.

Unfortunately, it\'s your bad luck that I\'m a manager, which of course means I\'ve had my obligatory lobotomy, so I know next to nothing about Linux, LEAP, VPN, etc...However, I do have several smart people working for me, so if I can just get them to take a look...

I\'ll post if I ever get it working.
