Are the timezones packages missing in default RC4 feeds or am I blind?

Just steal the one you need out of a linux machine.  That's how I fixed my AKST zone in Cacko.

OK, here the GPE-logs.

Bluetooth seems not working in rc-4...

Looks like you are blind - 3.5.4/feed/base/ contain timezone-* packages.

OpenZaurus does not use ONE feed for everything but have them separated.

hrw,

please note that on booting GPE image rc-4 i see in the logs (before "populating udev"):
     "mount sysfs failed"
This happens on the second and furthers reboots.

This does not happen with OPIE image rc-4 (at least not on the first boot)

FYI

the exact message is

Please wait: booting...
mount: Mounting sysfs on /sys failed: Device or resource busy

FYI there is another annoying message on shutdown:

Unmounting local filesystems
...
/etc/rc.6d/S90reboot cannot create /etc/timestamp: Read-only filesystem

Lastly, I installed the missing bl package, but receive the error:

ipaq-sleepmkdir: Cannot create directory '/var/run/no-sleep'

TIA

The sysfs thing is harmless. It is probably caused by altboot which may or may not mount /sys before init is run. So when INIT does the "mount -a" eventually you get the message about /sys already beeing mounted.

I had to reflash GPE...

Some modules were probably overwritten (snd modules and bluetooth) by ipkg upgrade.

According to

http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.p...&forum_id=11924

this is the 3rd report...

I've noticed that oz is now mounting the first partition of my sd card under '/media/card' 9as it should) and the second under '/media/mmcblk0p2' instead of '/media/card1' like it used to. Was this intentional? If so, PPPTTTHHHHWWWWW to that, I say .

And, is it an 'issue' that's going to be 'corrected', or is that 'just the way it is' form now on? thks

While the /media/$PARTITION way is more failure-proof and way easier to implement / maintain, I'll see what I can do.

Hello,

3541 is impressive- congrats on the work. I am already sending some patches to contribute.

But I have a question : how do you play video at a good framerate on a 2.6 with a ati w100?

With mplayer and stuff, playing a video reencoded for the zaurus:
 - there is no fullscreen. this could be due to -vo fbdev ? this is especially annoying with 320x240 videos !!
 - the playback is too slow. The video is already perfectly encoded (no need for vf, rotation or whatever) - it is just too slow at playback.
 - the cpu can't be overclocked

Ok, the w100 can be overclocked with echo 1> /sys/devices/platform/sharp-scoop/corgi-ssp/w100fb/fastpllclk but that's not enough :-/

I'm working on the last problem - I was pointed to arch/arm/mach-pxa/cpu-pxa25x.c, however it may not be enough.

Is anyone else interested/working on the problem?

Guylhem
