Sl-5500 Cacko Boot Problem

I am a newbie i have installed the latest cacko rom on my sl-5500 and when i turn it on it comes up and has this screen
/ect/password: root password garbled
give root password for maintenance
(or type control-d for normal startup):
if i type control-d  nothing happens
what have i done wrong and what do I need to do

I don't think Cacko supports the 5500.

Cacko Rom 1.23 Is Released

Cacko ROM 1.23 is released. Supporting Zaurus models are: SL-C1000, SL-C3100 in addition to SL-C7x0/SL-C860.

Hope you have a backup, there are original backups available to download,

there are other methods to restore a Zaurus, but you'll have to search the forum for that. I only have used the backup, (which I downloaded), for my C3100.

I did some looking and the and downloaded the sl-5500 version of cacko and i  had to get a SD card but i can not format it right and suggestion
