[span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\']Dungeon Crawl Reference   0.1.7 (a.k.a. "Stone Soup")[/span]
-- Dungeon Crawl Reference is based on Linley's Dungeon Crawl. The intent of the project is to provide a "reference" platform whose priorities are maximum portability and rapid integration of bug fixes from other Linley's Dungeon Crawl variants.
-- Homepage: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/crawl-ref/
-- How to play: Run "crawl.sh" in the terminal. The game has extraordinary depth, tons of commands and flexibility (using macros). For a quick reference, see my screenshots here (= the ingame help with "?"). For details, see the attached reference files.  Have fun!

 [ Invalid Attachment ]

P.S. I find the original keymapping of movement a bit hard to get used to (often confused Up and Down). So I also included a simple macro to enable the use of the cursor key. Do take a look a the "crawl_macro.txt" in the reference files for more about setting up macros.

Make music, tracker style, on your VGA, pdaX-running Z!

https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=22742&hl=#

Note that this is a pre-1.0, SVN compile and seems to stop responding if you enable playback tracing (CTRL+F) and then play a track- I've informed the author.

Anybody want to try compiling SpiralSynthModular or Zynaddsubfx? I can't get them to find FLTK, but I'm sure a configure switch would sort that out its just a case of whether the Z has enough CPU power to run 'em (probably not but only one way to find out....)

rox-backdrop is a simple script created by me which allows you to change the rox backdrop from the command line which is useful if you want to automate the change of the background image on rotation.

the syntax is very simple:

rox-bset --update full_path_to_image.png

by default it will look for /usr/share/pixmaps/Wallpapers/background.png if you do not provide an image as an argument.

rox-bset --portrait will look for /usr/share/pixmaps/Wallpapers/background-v.png
rox-bset --landscape will look for /usr/share/pixmaps/Wallpapers/background-h.png

and finally, if you have the package wallpaper installed

rox-bset --random will activate wallpaper for random background images.

have fun

[span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\']GIMP1.2.5[/span] is much faster on my SL6000 than any of the newer versions of GIMP I've tried.  I use this mostly for handwritng.

Note that this version is built without support for perl or gimp-print, but other than that, it's the complete distribution.

[span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\']gsumi1.1.0[/span] is essential the ink tool for gimp, as well as the starting point for getting X-input support into the gimp.  1.1.0 is the latest version AFAIK.  It's slightly faster and more respoinsive than gimp's ink tool, but not nearly as useful, missing color support and all of the other bells and whistles that come with gimp.  Furthermore, it only saves in PBM formats, which makes it difficult to find an alternate viewer for saved drawings.  Luckily, the default version of GQView can read them.

I'd somewhat planned on trying to merge gsumi with imagemagick, netpbm and  gimp, to try to retain the speed of gsumi, while adding the functionality of the other more popular applications, but for now, that's way over my head.
