I couldn't find any Sega master system emulators for pdaXrom, so I compiled SMS Plus/SDL. I changed the default key mappings for the buttons from c,v, and enter to Lshift, z, and space because c and v are too far in the middle of the keyboard and enter gets hit by accident too often because of the ok in the middle of the directional arrows on my C1000. I even made it so you can change the key mappings from the command line with --btn1 --btn2 --btnstart using the numeric codes from SDL_sym.h (http://www.koders.com/c/fid8D6280AEFC1089A8F98EB34B12BA678E634E5C6A.aspx). I'm not a programmer though, so maybe I broke something but it appears to be working fine. Let me know if not.

[span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\']XArchon 0.50.10.1[/span]
-- Homepage: http://xarchon.seul.org/

-- XArchon is a clone of the classic golden oddie ARCHON game which was distributed by Electronic Arts around 1985.  It pits the light side against the dark side is a battle for the control of a chess-like playing board.

-- XArchon consists of a strategy mode, in which pieces are moved around the board, and an arcade mode, in which two pieces attempting to occupy the same square battle one another.

Strategy mode

Things to pay attention:
1) The yellow "power points": there are five of them, four in the middle of each side and one in the center; they all have healing function
2) Victory condition: Capture all five power points or kill all the enemies.
3) The color of each square: Lighter colors favors the Light side; darker colors the Dark side; see the indicator in the bottom right corner (-Lnumber vs. -Dnumber).
4) Each type in the armies has its own speed (how and how far you can move), attack, and special abilities (e.g. spells, teleport, morph).

Arcade Mode

(The Light Djinni is shooting its power bolt at the Dark Goblin)

Things to pay attention:
1) 2 ways to attack: melee and range (bolts also differ in terms of power, speed and sphere)
2) Speed matters!
3) Terrain tactics: The color of the rocks determines whether and how you can walk and shoot through them.

-- Gameplay quick tips:

Complete game rules: http://xarchon.seul.org/rules.html

Beware! This game can be super addictive!

id3lib 3.8.3 & id3convertor

Some mp3 files' id3 tags are not in UTF-8 encoding (they are in GB2312, BIG5 or any other encoding...), so some player such as BMP cannot display them correctly.

So i built id3lib 3.8.3 and wrote a small script pack (depends on id3lib and libiconv) named id3convertor to convert MP3 files' id3 tags from any encoding to UTF-8 encoding.

Installation:

install libiconv & id3lib first,
then install id3convertor

Usage:

* convert a single file:
  id3enc <filename> <from encoding>

* batch convert *.mp3 in a directory
  cd <directory name>
  id3all [from encoding]

note: the default value of from encoding for id3all is gbk.

DosBox  0.70

My version with customized mapper.txt that works almost normally ( the only exception is the ":" sign - you need to shift+fn+ ";" for this - because of the way dosbox handles it). Sorry - no zaurus specific patches or whatsoever.

from the changelog:

Another year and another dosbox version, again more speedups and compatibility fixes.

    * Speed up the dynamic cpu core (certain games get much faster).
    * Added a dynamic fpu on x86 hosts.
    * Improved the cycle guessing code (and make it default).
    * Better and more configurable joystick support.
    * Improved the image and fat drives.
    * Added nullmodem emulation.
    * Various win 3.x enhancements (video/audio/ems/win32s).
    * Improved CDROM detection and support.
    * Speed up the screen drawing code.
    * Added support for different keyboard layouts.
    * Various fixes to the (C/E/V)GA emulation.
    * Extended and improved all types of emulated memory. (umb/ems/xms)
    * Dynamic core should work on Intel Macs.
    * Various timer related fixes.
    * Added a few more graphic scalers.

DAR 2.3.3

dar is a shell command that backs up directory trees and files. It has been tested under Linux, Windows, Solaris, FreeBSD, NetBSD, MacOS X and several other systems, it is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). Since version 2.0.0 an Application Interface (API) is available, opening the way for external/independent Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) like kdar. This API relies on the libdar library, which is the core part of DAR programs; as such, the API is released under the GPL.

ImageMagick 6.3.2

Because I noticed I cannot find it ... and need it

ImageMagick® is a software suite to create, edit, and compose bitmap images. It can read, convert and write images in a variety of formats (about 100) including DPX, GIF, JPEG, JPEG-2000, PDF, PhotoCD, PNG, Postscript, SVG, and TIFF. Use ImageMagick to translate, flip, mirror, rotate, scale, shear and transform images, adjust image colors, apply various special effects, or draw text, lines, polygons, ellipses and Bézier curves.

bbpager

A fast and small virtual window panel for the blackbox window manager, although this should work with most other window managers too.  (I'm currently using with fluxbox).

http://bbtools.sourceforge.net/download.php?file=6

esp-ghostscript

http://www.cups.org/espgs/index.php

because ghostscript-gpl by desert-rat wasn't working for me with tetex3.

maxima 5.11.0

http://maxima.sourceforge.net/

Built with the clisp earlier on this thread by anunakin, and needs this as a dependency.  (I didn't add the dependency in the ipk however.)

This would probably run a lot faster if someone were to compile gnu common lisp.

octave-forge
http://octave.sourceforge.net/index/index.html
extensions for the octave2.9.9 package earlier in this thread.   Needs this as a dependency also.

BlueZ-libs and BlueZ-utils 3.9

Newer versions of BlueZ! This was part of my failed attempt to get the Zaurus talking to a Wii Remote. As a side effect, however, you can now use bluetooth HID devices with pdaXrom.

This will probably only work with the 2.6 kernel betas - don't know about beta3 or pdaxii13. I'd love to hear about how well they work!

rsync:
http://samba.anu.edu.au/rsync/

"Fast Incremental File Transfer"....

findutils:

http://www.gnu.org/software/findutils/

Search stuff.  These versions work for me, whereas others didn't.  Both straight compiles, few optimizations, no errors out of the box.  (built while oesf.org was down).

These also install to "/usr/local"  and work in beta1 to rc179.  Other versions installed to "/opt/native/arm".

Since we're all uploading our imagemagicks, here's mine.  "display" works on 6000, (compiled on 6000).  (Thought we all had these already.)

   * Can't set and save color settings.
   * Can't set and save keyboard control settings.
Added :
   * Show current time in progress bar.

Download :
