Screwed Cacko Screen Rotation
« on: March 26, 2006, 01:53:45 pm »
I'd reflashed Cacko 1.23b back onto my Z after trying the new OZ alpha (check it out! best rom by far! Few bugs to be ironed out yet tho- no accelerated video, no overclocking and no wifi power management (turning it off without unplugging) yet), re-installed all my apps, upgraded the kernel and then I was just testing out video playback under kino2 when the battery went dead whilst playing an xvid file. When I got back to the Qtopia desktop it was in portait mode, despite the keyboard being out. I tried the 'rotation' option under the Qtopia menu but it did nothing and flipping the screen round to 'real' portait mode (keyboard hidden) just messed the screen up. I tried doing a couple of hard resets but the didn't fix it either so I did a search and found:

qt-embedded-rotation-fix_2.3.2-4_arm.ipk

Which I installed but that just made things worse by messing the fonts up- crazy multi-caps  wording everywhere.

Please don't tell me I've just gotta reflash again!
