I have a Collie 3.5.4 64-0 w 250MB gpe loop image on SD.

Firstly, FANTASTIC! love the way active tasks are being handled, especially the titlebar tap task switch - SO much better than panel icons, though would additionally suggest that the home button act like an alt-tab through running apps rather than just desktop/active.
Plus the desktop doesn't have the title click functionality (home, settings etc.) so obliged to use active tasks folder or press home button, not really a problem, but it feels like there are two modes for task switching when there needn't be.

Problems:
o  If I don't login, the login freezes and I need to reset.  don't know exactly how long, but looks like its failing to sleep or something.

o  Can't use package manager, lists update fine, choose a package gpe-minibrowser for example, installing gpe-mini-browser window appears, then after about 1 minute,
I get Error - IPKG backend failure, cannot continue.
Have same problems with gpe-tetris, abiword, gnumeric, and anything else I try, same problem every time - any ideas?  If I can't install software, it's effectively unusable :-(   - {EDIT- Okay, just realised that #ipkg is fine from the command line, Cool!}

o Don't like the way that modal windows such as "gpe-package reading packages list..." stay on top of other apps when I switch, should only be app modal, not system modal.

I'm having a similar problem, using an SL5600 PXA255, OZ 3.5.4, GPE -
When I launch package manager, it takes a fair amount of time to read the package list since I've updated the list. Once the list appears however, it is incredibly slow to scroll through the packages. At best I have been able to scroll down a few times, then package manager closes without error. I can duplicate this over and over, but never able to get to a point of even installing a package before the package manager closes.
