i just flash it on SL-C3200 using GPE, works smoothly no single error on dmesg, wireless works, suspend works, simple path edit to include /sbin/

Good idea, /sbin and friends will be configured for non-root users in the future.

Coredump,
Have you set up a spitz machine feed, or is it ok to use the akita feed with the spitz? All I need are some device driver modules while I wait for ewi546.ewi.utwente.nl to come back online. I see http://oz.hentges.net/mirror/oz3.5.4/feed/machine/, but neither spitz or akita are valid feeds.
Thank you!

Well, I was counting on the release of 3.5.4.1 and its feeds. The downtime of ewi is rather unfortunate
I'm uploading Spitz machine feed right now, it should already be configured in ipkg.conf:

I actually wasn't using your distro before, but I decided to try it out this morning. After a bit of fdisk craziness, I am pleased to say I've got it running. The pre-installed application selection is nice! Certainly saves me a bit of work

I've been trying to get a USB mouse working. After restarting X with ctrl-alt-del, the mouse is recognized but there is no pointer. It does come onscreen briefly during the logon process. I know the mouse is active because random clicks will register with whatever icons and menus the pointer happens to be on. Also, I noticed that the touchscreen is disabled when the mouse is activated. I must pull the mouse and restart X to get the touchscreen back. Is there a simpler way to switch? Ideally, I would like both the mouse and touchscreen active at the same time.

Hmm it may or may not be that I've enabled the turn-on-mouse-pointer only for Akita
Will have a look.

And no, TS and mouse will not work at the same time. And there is currently no other way than to restart X to change the input device (kdrive X server problem).

And the TS beeing unusable when the mouse is plugged in is known, too.

The USB mouse fix wasn't propperly implemented for spitz, it was missing a changeset.
Get tslib.sh from here: http://oz.hentges.net/openembedded/org.ope...ib/tslib/akita/

and copy it into /etc/profile.d.

Reboot the device and the cursor should show up.

Will be fixed for the next release, thanks!

Wow, that was fast! You are awesome, Coredump!

Also, is there a way to scroll x-terminal-emulator via the keyboard?

Sorry, no go for the akita tslib.sh on spitz. With a mouse, the pointer directions were reversed on the GPE login screen. The pointer still dissapeared afterwards. With mouse disconnected and spitz rebooted, the touchscreen would not respond to input (even at the calibration utility)

So the pointer is visible in gpe-login and vanishes when matchbox is launched?
Please create a new user and try again.

Hmmm dunno what's going on there as Akita and Spitz should be identical in regards to TS handling.

CoreDump -- For the Spitz class models, would it be possible for you to do a "maxi" Hentges ROM that includes both opie and gpe and is configured to switch between them (via the virtual terminals)?

Since the Spitz devices have microdrives, this sort of "kitchen sink" rom should be possible.

In another thread someone asked the difference between Hentages and OZ and the reply was "extra packages and kernel tweaks" so I was wondering if the latest Hentages for spitz includes the pxa270 overlay or cpu freq. scale patches?
