USB driver crash
« on: February 26, 2004, 09:13:01 pm »
Just wondered if anyone else has been experiencing this: If I leave my Zaurus in the USB cradle running on battery, and it goes into suspend, it takes down my whole computer. Not just one of those \"Ahem, something seems to be amiss\" dialog boxes but a full-on heart-stopping crunch to the BSOD with a kernel dump.

Most annoying. And I can\'t really understand why it would affect Win2k so badly. Normally if I unplug a USB device it\'ll just warn me not to do it again.

Don\'t know if its related, but I also have never been able to get the TCP/IP sync drivers to work.

Maybe I\'ll try to find some more up to date drivers.

mutter. mutter.

What does the BSOD say? A photo would be good, or there are sites which will explain how to decode the \'rubbish\' it comes up with.

The stop code is a good start, then you can see what address it stopped at and work out which module caused the problem, etc.

Not that this will help much but it might turn out that it has nothing to do with your Z (directly) ;-), hopefully.....
