If you installed the lite version make sure to use the right package feed.  This is the one that's on the Cacko website.

http://web.mol.ru/~zaurus/feed/

When I installed mplayer and kino from there it worked great.

Which version of kino did you use?
Could you also tell me what settings you used.

Thanks.

Filename for kino is kino2_0.4.3c-1_arm.ipk

I also loaded mplayer-bvdd and mplayer-w100 (I forgot why i loaded both...)
C1000 w/...  Cacko Lite (When I use the Z alot for business)... pdaXrom (when I see something cool and want to try it.  Best way for me to learn shell commands)

I'm using Cacko Lite. Any hint as to the name of the applet?!

If your'e talking about overclocking, it's located in the battery applet, but if you are going to play movies with Kino2, use the overclocking within kino2, instead of using the battery applet's overclocking.
In kino2, overclocking is located in  File > Prefrences > Playback tab.

Ah I see it. It's in lite as well. Kino seems to be a no go for me. It just won't play the files I encode or even a demo file I downloaded from Cresho.

I'll try overclocking with the applet and use mplayer

BTW thanks for everyones help so far

I don't know how much better this version is, but people recommend this for mplayer:
mplayer-bvdd-iwmmxt
It's also in the above mentioned cacko feed.
I don't watch movies much, but your'e best bet is to scour the forums in the Cxxxx general, sharp, and software sections for threads about best video playing results
