I built Ruby, but there are other dependencies, will check tomorrow. Have you tried Cone, by the way ? it's the fastest and lightest of console mail clients. And not bad at all. If I have some time, will rebuild it.

Anyone willing to compile the latest fluxbox for PdaxiiV2? I have just started to play with my Zaurus again and I have always had bad luck trying to compile things. Anyway if someone could compile this that would be great!

Fluxbox 1.0rc3 has already been compiled by Capnfish I think and even if it was compiled for r198 it works on pdaxii13.

Here it is: once downloaded, rename fluxbox_1.0rc3_armv5tel.zip as fluxbox_1.0rc3_armv5tel.ipk

Could someone please make ettercap, dsniff suite, tcpdump, wireshark, irssi, and kismet configured with no suid. Thanks.  If someone can make all these packages with all features enabled and them running fine I can pay up to 20 dollars.  Thanks.

I'm looking for much the same thing for pdaXi13.
I'm especially interested in Wireshark (which is available for Angstrom).   The version of ethereal in the feed is rather old.

Please, compile a csh (tcsh or any other) shell. The old one available is buggy - when you press up for prompt history it sometimes ruins terminal.

Cone looks cool. is it compiled for pdaxrom?

I'd like to see the LIRC stuff working.  And yes, before anybody says anything, I do know that as a remote control the Z is pretty much useless.  I mostly want it for learning remote codes, and possible testing to make sure I have the correct ones.

All I've found so far for pdaXRom is some old Sharp rom stuff, which I'm kind of hesitant to use.

Indeed, that fixes it. As I had an older version of vte already installed, it didn't appear in the available packages in the package manager, so I didn't know a newest one was available. We need desperately a command that list upgradable packages, may be someone will come up with one. Let's hope
