build 5.2 has been uploaded. it is much more stable than the previous builds and hopefully has all the bugs fixed....

Is there any other location where I could get hdimage-full.tgz 5.2 ?

there seems to be a few people having problems getting the files. I am not sure if it is a problem with the hosting company or what. i will look into it over the next couple days. Send me a pm (if you havent already) if you are having problems.

It's downloading for me right now at this speed on my ADSL. 60KB/s to 232KB/s
I'm using Flashget 1.71 in Windowz

Try using a download helper/accelerator.

EDIT - Update.
The full image (hdimage-full.tgz) downloaded with no problems. I tested the files using WinRAR and there were no problems. I cannot install it now because, I'm waiting for my new C3200 to arrive  and that's the machine I plan to install pdaxrom beta 3, then pdaxii13

Initially, I had exactly the same problem yesterday. I kept trying every other hour and suddenly it worked (using Firefox on a Gentoo box). I thought it was Meanie not yet ready with the upload.

Just installed 5.2. Every time I boot I'm getting an error message (presumably from ROX) that says that the standard mime database (version 0.9 or later) was not found. It suggests checking permissions on /usr/share/mime/globs or /usr/local/share/mime/globs, but neither directory exists. (I'm going to guess that it's actually looking for /usr/apps/ROX-Filer/ROX/MIME, but the permissions on that appear normal. Root - Root DRWXR-XR-X)

Also, nothing seems to happen when I try to run the terminal by clicking on the icon in the status bar... I can run aterm and rxvt from the menu, but mrxvt doesn't start. (Seems like the executable is missing.)

I installed mrxvt from Meanie's feed and I have the same problem. After I have click on the icon on the task bar a time or two, I will often fine a task running call unnamed. I can launch mrxvt from the icon on the desktop and then when I close it, the unnamed one closes as well. Maybe unrelated, but it sounds like the same behavior.

I'll try downloading it again. The 5.2 file that I downloaded was 111mb - smaller than the 126 of the 5.1 (Or whatever version was on the SD card...). I thought it was odd at the time...

Ok thanks it works. Sorry for the mistake.
But I think page [a href=\"http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/feed/pdaXii13/files/]http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/feed/pdaXii13/files/[/url] should be updated as it still says 'hdimage-full.tgz (158MB) - build5.2' in the 'distro images for the microdrive' part and points to a the dead link. Could be misleading.

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned this about 5.2 on c3000 (except for me in my pdaXii13 c3100 install guide thread which I've just updated) but according to df hda1 is mounted twice for some reason on both c3000 and c3100. Can't be good!

I've just been trying to work out what is wrong with the usb-uk keyboard map as keycodes

104 = apostrophe
106 = comma
107 = period
108 = slash

All launch xmms when pushed without holding shift but they seem to be set up correctly in the xmodmap file. A few of them had the key definitions printed twice (i.e 104 said apostrophe at aposrophe at) in the modmap so I tried deleting the second set of definitions (so that one just said just said apostophe at etc.) but that didn't make any difference so there must be something else going on I don't know about. Any ideas?

A far as pdaXii13 on c3000 is concerned its just these two problems along with the lack of those wifi drivers I've linked to in the c3100 install guide and gpe-calendar mysteriously stopping to work properly. I wish I could say the same about pdaXii13 on c3100

you cannot use looknfeel to change wallpaper if you are using rox. you need to use the backdrop feature in rox.
