Help With Agere Systems Hermes-ii Wifi Card?
« on: January 05, 2007, 08:26:26 am »
Made by Agere, Taiwan.
The provider said Socket's driver can be used in Windows and Windows CE.

Pros: Nice form factor for my PDA.

Cons: Common drivers (hostap and oronico/orinoco) don't work with this adapter in both a Sharp Zaurus SL-5500, C-1000, nor my HP Omnibook 6000 laptop via a CF/PCMCIA adapter. The manufacturer says it's based on a a Intersil Prism 2 chipset, but the drivers can't find 'em or find a badly formed PCMCIA tuplet and refuse to load.

Other Thoughts: If you have a Linux running PDA, don't buy this card!

Help With Agere Systems Hermes-ii Wifi Card?
« Reply #2 on: March 21, 2007, 11:52:59 pm »
After all, the card is working in Cacko, and use wlags49_h2_cs driver without configuration any more.
But now I move to the pdaxrom, and can not find driver for the card.
So I want to compile it, but no source.
Anyone has the driver source of wlags for cacko?
