Which Version Of Pdaxrom Are You Using
« on: April 09, 2007, 04:54:19 pm »
Hi folks, I thought it might be interesting to see a crossection of pdaxrom usage as I've not seen a poll here for a long time.

If you have more than one zaurus with pdaxrom then please choose the version you use more often.

cheers

Have tended to stick with Cacko on my 860, never got Beta4 to work right for me on it, and r121 never worked at all i found for me.

May give the next release a try though.

pdaxii13-akita on NAND
I like it because as a newbie, a lot of settings are already tweaked and fixed.
I like the NAND only version because it runs faster than the hard drive install version.
I have been experimenting with icewm lately, and it seems even faster than openbox/rox.
If I have to wait too long for something to launch, I'll probably try clicking it again and end up with 2 instances of the program running.
This is one reason I like the speed of the NAND version.

ii13... Works very well.
Having a "stable" branch with emphasis on useability is very cool

I agree completely.  Thanks, Meanie!

I actually voted for beta3 before I realized that ii13 was broken out into a separate category, so count one more for ii13!

Finished building r196.

Thanks for your great works, pdaXrom Team!

P.S. It would be better for volunteers to have change log, so that they could report any suspicious behaviors.

Agree. Change log would be helpful for beta testers.

I have been enjoying my heavily tweaked beta 3,
the only thing not working is java applets... have tried everything!

It's the only thing that makes me want to switch to ii13,
maybe when I have a spare weekend!

Thanks for voting fellas (and lass)

Well it's interesting because the majority appear to be running beta3 or ii13(which is really beta3 souped up), and only TWO people voted for r121 which I thought would be much more popular.

I have been tempted to upgrade from beta3 for some time, for the single reason of improved speed in the newer kernel but have not because my current setup has had too much time invested in making it work as I like it.

Look forward to hearing about the new release, hopefully it will be the release to rule them all.

PS. It should read "weexpc" not weexbox, sorry my brain is polluted with xbox software naming conventions  and anyway it was only included for completeness - anyone running it is probably too scared to vote!!!

This poll has only been up for 24 hours.
Wait about a week or so, for more people to vote.
