Network Connection Icon
« on: March 10, 2004, 11:32:23 am »
I am using the tkcrom2.0alpha3 with my aerlink NPC card.  Everything seems to install without issue, but the Network Connection icon doesn\'t show up in the taskbar.  If I use my Socket CF Ethernet card it shows.  Can anyone offer a fix?  It use to work with tkcrom1.0.

Did you go to the settings tab, and setup a connection using the network applet?

Yep.  Used the network applet and everything looked good.  Same way I set up my ethernet card.  It looks as though it loads the network connection icon because the taskbar blips for a second when I insert the npc, but nothing shows up.

The tkcrom uses the SubApplet package. This adds a second (hidden) taskbar that you access using the up arrows icon on the main taskbar. They located the network connection icon there.

When I eject my Bluetooth card (same ROM as you), the same thing happens.  All\'s you do is launch either Opera or the Network Settings application and it\'ll show up on the task bar again.

Let me know if that solves the issue you\'re talking about-
