Add Entry In Menue For Pdaxii13 V2
« on: January 15, 2008, 10:18:16 am »
Hi,

I have different applications installed which have no icon placed in the icewm menue. For example I want to add an application-icon
inside the folder Multimedia.

How can I do this? Where do I have to enter these settings (icon; application path; starting option; etc.)?

Thanks

It's been awhile since I've used icewm, but I still have my backup files/configs.
Look in ~/.icewm
In there I have a separate config file for each menu catagory. Example below is for "Quasar Media Player"
In my "Multimedia" file I have the following:
prog "Quasar Media Player" "/usr/share/pixmaps/quasar.png" quasar

First set of quotes is the discription. Second set of quotes is the path to the icon. and the third entry is the binary name that launches the app.
You can add starting options with the binary name. I have a couple examples below.
In my "network" file:
prog "PPP Dialer" "/usr/share/pixmaps/kppp.png" sudo pppdialer
prog "Dillo" "/usr/share/pixmaps/dillo.png" dillo -g 500x400

There are some other methods used to accomplish this.
I think Meanie introduced (in later versions of icewm) an option on the menu that "rebuilds" the menu, and that should "catch" any newly installed programs.
There is also a set of GUI configurators. Some of these may throw up errors, but they still work. Again, I think Meanie included these in the last version of icewm.
Code: [Select]
Key editor             iceked_1.5_armv5tel.ipk
Menu\toolbar editor    icemc_2.1_armv5tel.ipk
WinOptions editor      icewoed_1.8_armv5tel.ipk
